hey, my name is Dudu, I’m an engineering student by day and all round creative around the clock ✨

I’m passionate about wellness, service and progress, and finding beautiful ways to make more conscious choices , especially when it comes to fashion . For me, style is more than getting dressed; it’s about feeling cozy in what you wear, expressing the quirky aspects of who you are, and finding joy in the little things 𖦹 ⁺｡°

The magnificence of water!!! Sometimes we watch, stare and are mesmerised by the bodies of water that exist around us, we don't need to go far to find magnificent bodies of water, wetlands, rivers etc.

But do we ever imagine and respect the magnitude of the role that these water bodies play within the eco-system? Today is #WorldWetlandsDay and it's an opportunity for us to share with our communities, our children and those that live near these very water bodies that we have a duty and responsibility to respect and protect our wetlands.

Let's give our waste footprint a rethink today and let us be reminded that this magnificent space is home and the central life source for so much we take for granted.

My Earth Sisters & Family🥹💚

Where do I begin to express the sisterhood found with my beloved Miss Earth Warriors.

To the 2023 cohort, walking the journey with you all has been both an honour and a pleasure! I’ve been deeply inspired by your unique life journeys and their successful trajectories; all of your strength, passion and determination …. I’ll carry all the cherished moments and bonds we formed with me always ❤️

To the Alumni Miss Earth , thank you all for welcoming me with such kindness and grace . I truly appreciate the connections made over our affinity with environmental stewardship , community service but also through the inspiration you each bring as powerful, compassionate individuals dedicated to making a difference.

Just wanted to share a few moments I’m glad to say are locked in as core memories for me 🫶🏾🥹

Once a Miss Earth Always a Miss Earth ✨💚

One thing that has been resonating so deeply within is how pivotal my Miss Earth journey has been. It reignited my passion and purpose, grounding me in what truly matters - people and planet .🌍🫶🏾

The woman I walked into this journey is most definitely not the same woman walking out. It’s crazy to think how quick a year goes by and I am filled with an ecstatic sense of joy and peace for who I have become and who I am becoming .

This goes without extending my deepest gratitude, respect and appreciation -

To Catherine , Ella , Mama Georgina & Lehlogonolo and the Miss Earth Team , thank you for entrusting me with the honour of championing the cause of climate justice and the uplifting of communities . Through your example, I have learned what it means to serve with humility , lead with compassion and act with purpose. For that, I am truly grateful 💚✨

To Cathy Heaton, thank you so much for your invaluable support, guidance and encouragement throughout this journey. 💖

To my community ;Charlene, BubeleAfrica ,RPS & St Andrew’s ;words cannot express how much your support, aid and kindness with the initiatives and projects we held together means to me 💚
