Hi friends! Since I've been seeing some new faces around, today feels like a good day to say hello again.

You might know me as a pattern designer, pattern tester, tech editor or ghostwriter. I also consider myself a (slow) runner, dog lover, mama of a special Neurodivergent kiddo, and definitely a lover of good food and drink. I'm a chemical engineer and work part time at a local branch of an engineering firm, and have also worked in refining, chemical manufacturing, and was the head winemaker at a cold hardy winery for a number of years.

I'm from the Midwest part of the USA but have lived in Texas, New Orleans, and Australia amongst other places. We have a busy house with our canine family members too - we currently have 3 doggos - a geriatric lab who has lived with terminal cancer longer than without, a very lazy and affectionate rottweiler/bully mix, and a spunky pointer/husky/Weimeriner mix pup that keeps everyone entertained.

I fully believe that dog glitter makes a quilt better.

My grandmother helped me start quilting as a child, though I didn't really take to it until after she passed. She is the inspiration behind my second pattern, Lyla Jean.

Yay! Let's grant some wishes! I've already got a couple going out in the mail tomorrow.

I'm on the lookout for little lambs in grey or green from Clover by Alexia Marcel abegg for cotton and steel. Or anything from Boo! By Sarah Watts for cotton and steel. Fat 8th size would be ideal

Two dozen Halloween scrunchies ready for next weekend's craft fair.

Not pictured, the one I decided I needed to keep.

(One can never have too many scrunchies.)

Most of these are from @rubystarsociety scrap packs (the cuts are the perfect width!) and I've used the tutorial from @stringandstory because it's objectively the best way to construct them) by @duenorthhandmade
