More Than Small Talk is an introductory spoken word workshop for creatives who want to become more confident sharing their ideas, stories and experiences out loud.

Led by UAE poets and spoken word artists @nimajr_ and @alysiaknowles , the session explores the tools performers use to captivate an audience, from voice, breath and rhythm to stage presence and delivery.

Participants are invited to bring an existing piece of writing, poem, journal entry or prompt and will have the opportunity to develop and perform it during the workshop.

Whether you’re a writer, designer, artist or simply someone with something to say, this workshop offers a supportive space to step up to the microphone and discover the power of spoken word.
