My Christmas in July socks! Cast on: Jul 1. Cast off: Jul 25 (five months till Christmas!)
At first I wasn’t sure about the colour combo. My oldest told me they weren’t “christmassy” at all. But, I love them!
Yarn: Old St. Nick by @mirandamaew (a gift from @rainb0wange) and Teal We Meet Again by @lissawestlake with Wool & Wanderlust
Pattern: My colourwork variation of a vanilla sock with an eye of partridge heel.

My Cozy Memory Blanket is done! Knit from sock yarn scraps/left overs, some of you probably recognize some of the yarn as being from your stash! 😉

I cast this on in February 16, 2016, and knit the last stitch in the binding yesterday - May 31, 2026.
10 years in the making. Archie was 2 months old. Now he’s 10. He’s a visual representation of the time put into this blanket.

I’m giving it to him. ❤️

Bought this little dandy at a charity shop couple years ago, started it immediately for Mother’s Day…2026. I started it a couple years ago for Mother’s Day 2026. 🙊

In my defence, Im old…er and need a headlamp to stitch and had to go through various missing and misplaced headlamps before finally landing on this dandy that makes me look like I’m going spelunking. 🦇 🔦

Pair of #WildFlowerSocks by @fawnpea (available on @hi.ravelry )
These really are a pair! Although they don’t look it. More of cousins than twins. This is the same skein of yarn. I knit the sock on the right and my aunt had started the pair with the sock on the left. Not sure why the pattern turned out so different for us but I can say that the sock I knit was super fun and a very intuitive pattern. These will be gift for someone.

New Socks ✨

Shorties in @thecozyknitter ‘s You’re So Foxy 🦊 colourway on the Bliss base. This was her November 2016 YOTM Club colourway. I LOVE these colours! With this skein, had previously knit my oldest a pair of socks when he was a toddler, as well as a baby hat for a friend. This was the last 58 grams. It’s all gone! 👏 actually had to add a little bit of scrap yarn to the toe as these are definitely fraternal not identical twins!

Loving 🥰 these fresh off the hooks and needles St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ decorations up on the mantle!

Garland is scrap yarn turned shamrocks using an AMAZING @youtube tutorial by @poraporacrochet. I highly recommend this channel! 👍🏻

The leprechaun inspired gnome is @imagined_landscapes Gnorbert from the Never Not Gnoming pattern. This pattern is so versatile for decorating. Also highly recommend. 👍🏻

And finally this sweet little pot of gold 🌈 was made of little bits of @lionbrandyarn Vanna’s Choice in a pattern designed by niccupp. Pattern on @hi.ravelry 👍🏻 👍🏻

March 2026: 266 squares.

I cast this project on ten years ago when Archie was a baby and my February 2026 focus was to get it finished.
I’ve never felt rushed to finish it or bothered by the long time that it’s been around. I just pick up and add to it as I want. I just sort of realized recently that it has been ten years and I should probably wrap it up. But, after sewing in the last few ends this morning, I realized that I forgot to add two special balls I was saving since 2016 to the last two corners! So I think I’m going to add one more row, decide on a border, and aim to have this WIP finished in March 2026.

Yay! 😁 I’ve been attempting granny squares for years with no luck. Just cause you can knit doesn’t mean you can crochet (and vice versa). It just wouldn’t work for me. I couldn’t see the stitches or the pattern.

But, mid-January I had this memory of two couch pillows we had when I was a child. My grandmother made them for us. She had crocheted these large flower granny squares and I thought I would love to be able to do that. So I tried again and watched a few tutorials (thanks @crochetbykri & @meemamakes!) and voila 🤗 I’ve managed to cover a pillow with two large granny squares using scraps…and I LOVE IT! 😻

I feel I can now confidently crochet granny squares, I’ve used 280g of stash and scrap yarn, and I’ve put a project on the hook and finished it for the #yny12castons2026 Happy, happy, happy! 😊

My #crystallinecowl; on the night I finished it over Christmas 🎄 and out in the wild 🌲. Part of the @yarnnyarns 12 cast-ons!

Made from 1 skien of @lichenandlace 80/20 Bulky superwash merino/nylon in “Blackberry Pie” 🥧 .

It is SUPER soft against the skin and a warm wooly neck warmer!
