We are all different, with our own stories, our strengths and our weaknesses. I’ve always been fascinated by the way people connect, sometimes without really understanding each other. Maybe that’s what makes human relationships so interesting. Mixed media on vellum paper.”beauty is not obvious” 102x66cm by @duga_art

BEYOND THE SURFACE. A face. A heartbeat. A fragment of life. As a radiologist, I look beneath the surface of the human body. As an artist, I try to reveal what cannot be seen. DAYSCAN brings these two worlds together. One day. One canvas. One original artwork. DAYSCAN 10 — 160 × 120 cm Original artwork by DUGA. Private inquiries and international acquisitions welcome. #NeoExpressionism #ContemporaryArt #ArtCollectors #BelgianArtist #originalartworks ART IS NOT JUST WHAT YOU SEE. IT’S WHAT YOU FEEL. by @duga_art
ART IS NOT JUST TO BE SEEN. IT IS TO BE FELT. Every painting tells a story. Every face carries an emotion. Every canvas holds a fragment of life. I’m DUGA, a Belgian artist and radiologist. My work explores the human condition through raw emotions, bold colors and expressive figures. Each original artwork is an invitation to feel, question and connect. Original artworks available for collectors worldwide. Discover my work through the link in my bio or contact me directly for available pieces and inquiries. #expressionistart #ContemporaryArt #NeoExpressionism #ArtCollectors #belgianartist by @duga_art
WHAT DOES A DAY LOOK LIKE? DAYSCAN is my visual diary of time. Each painting captures one specific day through fragments of the world and fragments of myself. News. History. Culture. Human anatomy. Medical imaging. Personal memories. Blood pressure. Heart rate. Words. Numbers. Emotions. Everything collides on the canvas. Like a radiologist reading an image, I search for traces. Except this time, I am not scanning a body. I AM SCANNING THE WORLD. DUGA — Scanning the world, one day at a time. #ContemporaryArt #NeoExpressionism #ArtBrut BelgianArtist #dayart by @duga_art
DUGA Artist. Radiologist. Observer of human life. For more than 20 years, I have been painting what I see, what I feel and sometimes what medicine allows me to see beneath the surface. My work is about life, time, fragility and human emotions. Painting, sculpture, medical imagery, words and fragments of everyday life collide in the same universe. I don’t try to make things perfect. I try to make them alive. Art allows me to reveal what cannot be seen on a scan. Two worlds. One obsession: the human condition. Based in Belgium. Working without borders. Welcome in my world.
