2001 vaults, around this time I was heavy in working on my style of chopping up the soul, just a 2000xl, no computer, no extra gear. It went a little something like this. Thanks and be positive!!! by @duginf

Rebuilding the lab, add, remove, some new, and some old! Never gets old you dig! Now getting all the gear to talk is always a rabbit hole! Thank you and shout out to @thekmcbrand for the glow in the dark Mpc sample cover. Thank you all for the support and stay positive!!! by @duginf

Dug Infinite started as a B-boy, DJ and emcee in Chicago’s early 1980s hip-hop scene!

Beginning in his garage, he was doing basement jams and dropping cassette tapes around the neighborhood. Once he saved up for studio equipment, he kicked off his production journey!

From there he became a cultural advocate, working alongside Common, No I.D., Masta Ace, Lenny Williams, and Baby Bam of the Jungle Brothers. He co-created standout tracks on Common’s “Can I Borrow a Dollar?” and dropped The Sampler Vol. 1 with No I.D 🎛️ as well as Commons “One day it will all makes sense” on Rawkus Records.

After relocating to the Bay Area Dug helped contribute to the culture working with artists such as Jacka, San Quinn, Cellski and more!

Dug has been a mentor to the next generation teaching music workshops for youth. That’s not a resume. That’s a life built around giving back to the culture.
Nomad Collab exists for exactly this kind of cross-generational, cross-city connection.

Dug brought decades of hip-hop history into the Nomad Collab SF sessions!

Stay tuned in as we drop unreleased music and content! taken in San Francisco, California by @duginf

TBT: making joints like these on the MPC 2000xl, since late 90’s this mini disc is from 2001 has 100’s of beats. Me, Bam,and SC on Halsted, being creative, being ahead of our time. I was always fixing something that was broke, as I look at myself in the dusty hoodie lol. Was never about the talent just about who was going to clear the samples. Thanks Bam and SC for all the solid fun!
