Keep Going 🏁
———————————————
Going into the new year I’m trading the sports uniform 🏈 for the sports coat 👔. Life’s a gift and I’ve been blessed to live my dream everyday thus far, and I plan on doing the same going forward. I’ll be transitioning into Sales, Renewable Energy ☀️, as well as continuing to consult through Film Crushers 🎥 to give my knowledge of the game of football to the youth. These will primarily be where my focus lies going into the future. Meanwhile, still bringing the same resilience, effort, passion, and preparation I’ve always had brought to the table. Excited for whatever’s next. 🤷🏿‍♂️💪🏿 by @dukethomas_

The game doesn’t end when you leave the field. 🏈⛳️

Grateful to be part of the inaugural ForeAthletes Beyond the Game Golf Outing.

The transition is real. Identity evolves, the mission shifts, and the next chapter requires just as much intention as the last. Creating spaces for athletes to connect, support one another, and build beyond the game matters.

The preseason ending always hits a little different.

Not because I long for those moments but because I remember who I had to become to play the game, and I realize I still need that same person to build what comes next.

Preparation. Discipline. Pressure. Adaptability. Competition. Leadership.

Football gave me the framework. The game doesn’t last forever, so with that reality approaching those unexpectedly. Just know the road ahead you’re built for
It with or without the cleats .

Today, I’m a consultant, entrepreneur, & builder. Just simply creating opportunities instead of waiting for them, much the same as it was before. by @dukethomas_

This goes without saying, but Nothing worth having comes easy.

⚡️

And when it’s time to change — to pivot — I couldn’t and can’t afford to wait for the perfect opening.
I still continue to search for those opportunities and refuse to hesitate. Big or small. Expected or not.

Nothing is given.
Momentum comes from movement.
Take it. 🫡

Don’t overthink it.
Don’t wait to feel ready.

And when you do go, fall in love with the process.
Because the journey is where you’re shaped.

Cheers to moving with intention, discipline, and integrity, and the outcomes take care of themselves.
Good compounds when decisions are made the right way, consistently.

No shortcuts.
No handouts.
Just commitment.

Don’t buy into the BS🤫

There’s the ones who are 100% against rooftop solar & those who say it can’t do no wrong. When honestly there are a multitude of factors that goes into developing a project. Ignore the real estate agent that says it’s a “Loss”, or no resale value and the solar guy who says the “government pays for it.” It’s takes finesse and know how to make it happen the right way. Get intouch - DM @dukenrg or at dukenrg.com to get coached up on your options ⚡️

72 Hours in ATL — BHM 🫶🏿
——————
My great-grandfather, Papa Henry Franklin, was building legacy in Baton Rouge over 100 years ago.

He owned and operated the bus system that transported Black students to and from school. A critical role in our community at a time when ownership meant everything. He also ran a mechanic shop on Swan Street, right in the same neighborhood where my family still owns property today.

Just down the road from Southern University; where my grandmother went on to co-found the Dancing Dolls.

Infrastructure. Education. Culture.
