Last week, my sweet grandmother sadly passed away after her long battle with Parkinson’s disease. While I am devastated to lose her, it brings me comfort knowing that she is finally at peace.

I could write a book filled with all of the lessons she taught me, but the one I will carry with me most is the way she always put others before herself. She was the most devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was constantly thinking of others and making sure everyone around her was taken care of, often before thinking of herself.

I am heartbroken knowing I won’t get to spend more time with her, but I also feel incredibly grateful for the example she set for me. I hope to carry her love with me by becoming even a little more selfless, caring, and loving like she was🤍 by @dulaneybennett
