Atmosphere is a seasoning, just not written on the menu.

Sore itu aku mampir ke Dulu Coffee – Petitenget dengan satu rasa penasaran sederhana: kenapa rasa kopi yang sama bisa terasa berbeda hanya karena pindah tempat? Dari cabang pertamanya di gang kecil Canggu, aku terbiasa melihat Dulu sebagai kedai kecil yang jujur bangku kayu, bukaan sempit, orang datang untuk kopi, bukan foto. Tapi di Petitenget, Dulu berkembang dengan cara yang pelan tapi yakin: fasad kayu bersih, jendela besar yang meminjam cahaya pagi, dan interior serba kayu yang bikin ruang kecil terasa hangat. Desainnya minimalis tanpa pamer, fokus pada alur bar dari grinder ke cup di tanganmu. Ruang ini terasa matang, tapi nggak kehilangan keintiman versi gang kecilnya.

Aku pesan Ice Long Black, campuran dua origin: Toraja dan Frinsa. Dua karakter yang bertabrakan secara rasa gelap vs cerah. Toraja kasih pahit dark cocoa dan earthy yang dalam, dengan body meaty penuh di lidah tanpa oily. Sementara Frinsa masuk belakangan, asam fruity yang juicy, bukan kecut, ditemani aroma caramelized sweetness yang kayak prune & nougat. Teksturnya light–medium, clean, dengan aftertaste yang panjang, berubah pelan dari pahit ke manis buah kering. Di satu gelas dingin itu, konfliknya terasa jelas: dua garis rasa saling tarik, tapi justru bikin tegukan yang seimbang.

Dan di situ jawabannya muncul: bukan kopinya yang berubah, tapi cara ruang bikin kamu ngerasainnya. Cahaya yang jatuh ke cup, ritme barista yang tenang, sampai obrolan pelan di bangku kayu semua jadi “bumbu” yang nggak tertulis di menu. Cabang kedua ini bukan sekadar ekspansi, tapi Dulu yang tumbuh dewasa—masih sederhana, tapi dengan cara yang lebih berani. Kamu cuma perlu satu gelas Ice Long Black untuk sadar kalau kadang, kopi bukan soal rasa… tapi momen ketika kamu meminumnya.
