Commercial Feature: American Eagle - “Dreaming in Spring”

“For this spot Duncan Wolfe and I embraced the artifice of LED walls and blended them with real locations by using more impressionistic lenses. The standout was the Lensworks Type SK Reverso that falls apart on the edges. We also used a blend of spot diopters, prisms, and chapstick. Our AC, Q Rodriguez, insisted it’s better than vaseline.” - David Vollrath, cinematographer

“Obscura” for @ColinKing and @beni_rugs

In the summer of 2017 I flew to Morocco to document the beginnings of what would become @Beni_rugs in the Atlas Mountains. Fast-forward five years and the team is slaying the Salone del Mobile in Milan, @ColinKing has joined the braintrust, and we’re making movies on the side of a mountain in Tepoztlán. Proud to be watching this story unfold.

Can’t thank my friends @_robertwwright_ @justthetibs and @colinking enough for for bringing me along for this one and trusting the process. Flying solo across the border with 80 pounds of 5219 in my carry-on is my favorite kind of mission :)
