Hey everybody!!! Its the 30 Year Anniversary of Pokemon. I’m a photographer who’s new to the area and I was hoping to have a themed community photoshoot inspired by the iconic starter trio: Water, Fire, and Grass.

Location: Forest Hill Park, Richmond VA
Date: July 19, 2026
Time: 3PM-6PM EST
Cost: Free/ TFP only

The goal is divide the shoot into the three themed segments:

Fire Type Hour: Trainers and/ or their Pokemon partners channeling the likes of Charmander, Growlithe, Rapidash. Bold looks, high contrast, and dynamic, high-energy poses.

Water Type Hour: Trainers and/ or their Pokemon partners inspired by Squirtle, Poliwag, Staryu, and more. Yes, even Magikarp. Flowing fabrics, cool tones, and aquatic energy.

Grass Type Hour: Trainers and/ or their Pokémon partners inspired by Bulbasaur, Tangela, and Bellsprout. Earthy textures, florals, and nature-based styling.

All Pokémon types and creative interpretations are welcome at any time , so feel free to bring any favorite Pokémon-inspired looks and mix them into the flow.

Who Should Come:

Photographers, Cosplayers, Models, Content Creators and Creatives of all Experience levels.

What to Bring:

Camera gear, Costumes, props, styled outfits, Water and snacks, and A collaborative mindset

Open and free to all Pokémon trainers, cosplayers, models, and photographers.

Photographers don’t have to dress up.

We will meet at the top of Forrest Hill where the food trucks park and then take pictures at different spots down the hill and other places throughout Forrest Hill Park. I think Forrest Hill Park is a great location because it offers a wide range of backdrops for pictures.
