Chloe wanted a unique wakesurf board: a pink leopard-print full carbon board with a glossy finish.
In terms of shape, she liked the Mean : a hybrid board that combines the speed of a skimboard with the directionality of a surfboard.

I remember it like it was yesterday, that Saturday, September 14th 2013. Oliver had been telling me about Javi for months, and he had also heard about a girl from El Rincón de la Victoria, Julia. Oliver was so enthusiastic about seeing the Málaga skim community grow day after day that I tended to take his words with a bit of distance.
The Faro Skim Contest kicks off, and then comes Javi’s first heat. On his very first wave, he links a shuv-it 180, a roller back, and rides back to the beach with incredible control. I had a real “wow” moment and thought to myself: “Damn, I need to sponsor him right away!!!”
A few hours later, it’s Julia’s turn. Quiet, she didn’t know many people. But once she entered the competition, she bet everything on consistency. She was the only one capable of delivering wave after wave at the same level. At that moment, I told myself that Oliver and I absolutely needed to keep an eye on her.
On that September 14th, 2013, I met two exceptional skimboarders.
Helping young skimboarders is what drives me every single day. If you believe in
your potential, if you think you have that little something extra — just like Javi and
