Why Duo Haus? The community. Always. 🤍

Having Pilates and strength training under one roof, with downtown and your favorite coffee shops a short walk away, is pretty special. But the people who fill this space are what make it feel like Duo Haus.

Building a routine is hard. Some days, working out is the last thing on your mind. My hope was to create a place where you feel welcomed, supported, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are, whatever your fitness level or reason for being here.

As we celebrate six months, I want to share how much this community has meant to me personally.

We opened our doors on April 18. A few days later, we learned my dad’s cancer was terminal. In June, I lost my dad and my mentor. I was learning how to run a new studio while learning how to live for him.

Through that grief, this community gave me something to look forward to. Your familiar faces, conversations, kindness, and belief in Duo Haus helped carry me through a season I never could have prepared for of loss, grief, wedding, and fires.

I opened this studio hoping to give people a place to find strength, physically and emotionally. I didn’t realize how much strength I would find here, too.

To our members, our incredible staff, and everyone who has supported us: thank you. You’ve made this space everything I hoped it could be.

To celebrate six months and give a little of that love back, tomorrow we’ll be providing all our active members a guest pass to introduce our community to theirs.

Thank you for making Duo Haus feel like home. 🤍
