Fall in Silverton, Colorado looks a little different when the clouds settle into the San Juan Mountains. 🍂☁️

The aspens are changing quickly, with layers of green, yellow, gold and hints of orange beginning to cover the mountainsides. Add in the low clouds rolling through the trees and you get one of those cool, moody fall days that makes Southwest Colorado feel completely different from one hour to the next.

If you’re planning a Colorado fall colors trip, Silverton is a great basecamp for scenic drives, hiking, Jeep and OHV adventures, the Alpine Loop, and exploring the San Juan Mountains.
