☕️✨ YOU HAD ME AT COFFEE.

Coffee & Create is back, but we’ve made a few questionable creative decisions since the last one.

On Sunday 25 October, we’re taking over Dust Temple for a morning of Turkish coffee, bedazzled mugs and girl talk.

First, we’re learning how to make Turkish coffee the traditional way, brewed slowly in hot sand. Then we’re staying back, pulling out the gems and giving our ceramic mugs a completely unnecessary amount of personality.

Think coffee in hand, gems all over the table and a bunch of women who probably arrived as strangers slowly getting way too invested in each other’s mugs.

Will yours be a masterpiece? Unclear.
Will we hype it up anyway? Obviously.

And if you’ve been watching our events thinking they look fun but you’d have nobody to go with, this is a very easy one to do solo. There’s something about sitting around a table making something together that takes all the pressure off meeting new people.

No awkward networking. No artistic ability required. Just come, grab a seat and start creating.

📅 Sunday 25 October
☕️ 9:00am to 11:00am
📍 Dust Temple, Currumbin
🤍 In collaboration with @noamatcha

Your Turkish coffee, ceramic mug and all bedazzling materials are included, and your creation is yours to take home.

Come solo or bring your favourite girl.

Let’s make a morning of it. 🤍

King of poetry, mid flight 👑

What a night @dust_temple for the Gold Coast Heat of the Australian Poetry Slam ‘26.

20 poets + one mic and the audience vote decides it all. Who knew poetry was so much fun !? I had never been to a poetry event before and I popped my cherry in the best way possible.

Massive love to my beautiful friend Colin for inviting me down and then bringing the house down as the feature poet.

His pieces on the joy of being a girl grandad, his chemo journey, and an ode to the nurses who got him through it had the whole room in awe, absolute highlight of the night for me.

Colin and I have crossed paths a number times over our shared love of cafes and art. This local legend is well known around town as the accidental coffee slut (self proclaimed), and honestly I have so much respect and admiration for him for creating such a buzz around the whole event and I met so many amazing new people of all ages and all with such interesting stories.

Congrats to the very well deserved winners who are now heading to the upcoming QLD Final in Brisbane, with the National Final all the way at the Sydney Opera House later this year .

What a wonderful night Celebrating YOUth Through Art 🤍

There’s something really special about seeing so many people come together to celebrate creativity, connection and the incredible young people at the heart of what we do.

To our young people, this event is for you. We created this space so you could showcase your incredible work, share your creativity and put yourselves out there. We’re so proud of you and grateful that you trusted us to share your stories with our community. 🤍
