Self Portraits, Digital Diptych, 2026

Over the past year, I've gotten some new followers. Whether you know me in real life, you've seen my work in galleries or you've just stumbled upon my page online I am glad you are here. I share my work on here but I very little say who I am.
My name is Dustin Oriente. I use he/him pronouns and they/them pronouns. I am 25 years old. I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (BFA) with Photography concentration.
Photography has been my passion for over 10 years, I got my first camera around 15 years old, it was a Canon EOS T6. I still primarily work with Canon digital cameras today, though I have worked with Nikon and film.
I enjoy making highly colorful, fully saturated photos and glossy prints.
Work inside of my studio practice include documentary style portraits and still life photographs of fruit in nature. My work speaks about themes of queerness, love, desire, transformation/ evolution and belonging to name a few.
Outside of photography I like connecting with other artists and exploring other art mediums. I enjoy gallery and museum hopping, working out, dyeing my hair, astrology/magical things and visiting random coffee shops to get matcha.
So if you're new here, welcome. Feel free to dm or comment, im always looking for new friends. I'm always down for taking photos or just talking about art. 🤍📷

What happens if I just create today? Forget about what people will think the image represents, or if it fits well in my series of images. Forget about whether it'll ever be on a gallery wall or mean something. What if I just create for the sake of creating?

"Hatch", Digital Photograph, 2026

Revisted one of my favorite projects in undergrad, I had to photograph an egg in @beatrix.reinhardt 's class and I created an artificial bird's nest out of bubble wrap.
I found this pile of rubble of leaves and snow from the big snowstorm we had and immediately thought let's make it a nest.
I also have to credit my experience photographing babies with @lifetouch / @jcpenneyportraits for christmas. All the times I had to climb that ladder to photograph overhead shots of babies in baskets paid off in getting the perfect angle!
