Charcoal can be challenging… but that’s part of the process. 🖤

It can get messy.
The values may look wrong.
The drawing can go through that stage where you start questioning everything. 😅

But one of the most important lessons in art is learning to stay calm, keep observing, and trust the process until the piece is finished.

Don’t judge your work halfway through.
Keep building the shadows, adjusting the values, erasing, blending, and refining.

Sometimes the piece just needs you to keep going. ✏️🖤

And that patience? That’s part of becoming an artist too.

Art is more than creating something beautiful. 🎨✨
It’s learning to observe, slow down, trust the process, and turn an idea into something of your own.

This is what our homeschool art sessions look like: learning techniques step by step, exploring different mediums, building confidence, and watching a blank canvas slowly come to life. 🤍

No experience needed—just curiosity and the desire to create.

Could you believe @al_ejandra884 from @spalouvre finished this painting in just 8 hours… across only 4 classes? 🎨✨

Our summer painting sessions happen every Monday and Thursday by appointment, creating the perfect space to slow down, relax, and enjoy the creative process. ☀️🖌️

These 8 hours were filled with dedication, creativity, laughter, meaningful conversations, and moments that helped us learn, connect, and grow together.

Watching a blank canvas turn into a finished piece is always incredible — but seeing the confidence, peace, and joy that come with it makes it even more special. 💛

This is more than a painting class… it’s time for yourself, creativity, and connection. DM us to book your summer sessions ✨ by @dvarte.as

I haven’t posted much here lately because this momma has been busy with summer camps, traveling, and tournaments with the kids ☀️⚽️✈️ But classes are OPEN this summer!

Watching Marcella grow through her art journey has been so special. This beautiful piece is the result of her consistency, effort, trust in the process, and willingness to follow guidance every step of the way 🎨✨

Talent is important, but showing up, practicing, and staying committed is what truly creates growth — and Marcella is a perfect example of that 💛

If you’re interested in summer art classes, send me a DM only available Mondays and Thursdays, all ages . #oilpainting #classes #artclasses #summerart #art by @dvarte.as
