Every collector was a new collector once.

And if you’re just getting started in the hobby, there’s a lot to learn beyond knowing which cards are worth the most.

5 things I wish someone told me when I started collecting:

1. Don’t buy everything just because it’s shiny. Not every flashy card belongs in your collection.
2. Figure out what you actually like. Players, teams, sets, characters, sports, inserts, etc.
3. Protect your cards. Sleeves, top loaders, binders, and proper storage matter.
4. Stop chasing everyone else’s collection. Just because a card is trending doesn’t mean you need it.
5. Buy what you actually enjoy. The best collection is one you’re excited to look at.

Collecting is personal. There’s no single “right” way to build a collection. For the new collectors just getting into sports cards, trading cards, Pokémon, or pop culture collectibles, start with what interests you and learn as you go.

At D’Vault, we aim to provide a space where everyone feels included no matter if they’re a seasoned collector or just getting into it. Ready to see what cards we’ve got? Head to the link in our bio to shop now. by @dvault_dee

FEATURED CARD:

Frozone, Samuel L Jackson Auto

Derek’s pick for this week’s spotlight is one that deserves a closer look.

Frozone, 2025 Topps Pixar Gold, Auto

What makes it interesting:

This particular card has a few rare and interesting features. It is a character from a top Pixar franchise, The Incredibles, and it has an autograph from a big name actor, Samuel L Jackson.

📋 The details:

- Year: 2025
- Set/Product: Topps Pixar Gold
- Player/Character: Frozone/Samuel L Jackson
- Parallel/Variation: Base Auto
- Condition: Mint/Near Mint

But the numbers aren’t really the story.

The fun is in the autograph. An incredible piece from an amazing Actor.

Would this make your collection? 👀

📩 DM D’Vault for availability and pricing or head to the link in our bio for this card and more cards like it. by @dvault_dee

WELCOME TO D’VAULT.

If you’re into cards, collectibles, the thrill of the hunt, or that unforgettable “WAIT…DID I JUST PULL THAT?!” moment, you’re in the right place.

D’Vault Cards & Collectibles was built by collectors, for collectors. From basketball, baseball, football, hockey and soccer cards to Pokémon, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Veefriends and more, there’s always something new waiting to be discovered.

But D’Vault is about more than what’s inside the pack. It’s about the chase. The nostalgia. The trade. The community. The next big pull.

And behind it all is Dee, a collector himself who wanted to create a place where people can find great cards and collectibles while actually enjoying the hobby along the way.

We’re building more than a card shop. We’re building a collector community, one pack, trade, pull and conversation at a time.

So whether you've been collecting for 20 years or you're ripping your very first pack, welcome to the Vault.

Follow along. You never know what we're going to unlock next. by @dvault_dee
