The Lockers #19

Type1 (@type1.inc), an Estonian-born, Berlin based producer and DJ opens up the more intimate side of his archive: textural strangeness, slow-burning neoclassical influences, and ambient works heavy with emotion, a world that doesn’t often get to surface in his sets.

Brooklyn-based Producer and DJ Chloe Battelle (@chloebattelle) shapes a sound that merges the raw purity of techno with a cinematic sense of melody and storytelling. Drawing from 90s acid, breakbeat, and early rave, her productions fuse rhythmic intensity with hypnotic detail. Founded in the darker corners of New York’s underground, her sound balances minimal, textured industrial energy with melodic tension and evolving soundscapes.

The Hague-based and UK-rooted, dwayne (@dwanyee_) pulls stories from every corner of the airwaves, feeding them straight into an ever-growing record bag. His sets drift through different shades of UK bass, dub, grime, techno and breaks, stitched together with a pulse that feels both instinctive and intentional.

Nino Henning (@ninohenning) embraces eclecticism as the foundation of his musical endeavours. With an ‘anything goes’ philosophy in the studio, his sound cannot be confined to a single genre or style. Ranging across the lengthy spectrum that electronic music offers, the unexpected is to be expected during his DJ sets, blending genres and grooves into seamless narratives.

DWAYNE

@dwanyee_ is an Amsterdam based DJ with roots in the UK. Continuously searching for the right rhythm and percussion, where in the chaos there is often harmony. Playing mostly UK bass, techno and breaks. dwayne is part of Amsterdam’s community radio station ‘RRFM’, here he is drawing inspiration from all the different storylines - while expanding his own record collection. Either exploring the limits of electronic music and otherwise deep diving in the realms of hip hop, r&b and jazz music. taken in HAVEN Eindhoven by @dwanyee_

One of my new years resolutions for '25 is to discover and listen to more music outside of the dancefloor. There is soooo much I haven't listened to, and soooo much to still be appreciated.

The idea of sharing an active playlist has been on my mind for years now. So here it is. 'Hennies TEN.'

Ten tracks from ten selected albums / EP's to check out - updated weekly. Old or new - across genres, as long as the whole album is a vibe! Livingroom-proof, I promise..

Link in bio & album / EP tips are more than welcome!
