Happy to say I am going to be participating in this years @austinstudiotour presented by @almostrealthings ! I am looking for a space to showcase in November when the tour happens, preferably in East Austin.

I think this is my 3rd Austin Studio Tour. I did not show anything for a lot of years and for a long time I was frustrated as an artist and couldn't figure out how to be in the art scene, get a show, make a living with art or get eyes on my work. Art felt like a fruitless pursuit that I kept pursuing because I don't know how to do anything else. but this time I think I have a lot of work I'm really proud of. Please contact me if you have interest in showcasing my work during Austin Studio Tour! #austin #austintexas #austinart #artist #painting taken in Austin, Texas by @dwightbenignus

My Austin musician mini portraits series continues: Austin musician, photojournalist and my housemate @tamirhasacellphone of Mother Falcon just created an album Witness, multimedia performance and album about the experience of documenting the tragedy at Uvalde, El Paso, Hurricane Harvey and the conflict i Gaza for the New York Times, Washington Post, NPR and Texas Monthly. I was fortunate enough to witness the moving performance at The Long Center last week featuring singing by the sister of one of the victims at Robb Elementary, Jackie Cazares. by @dwightbenignus
