Sometimes the grace on your life will require a level of visibility you’re still trying to find the courage to accept.

You’ll have seasons when you’re tempted to hide in the cave, especially when you carry a prophetic grace. After enough warfare, disappointment, and misunderstanding, the thought of being somewhere no one can reach you starts to feel like relief. You retreat, catch your breath, and begin to imagine staying there.

Then God begins calling for parts of you that you’ve already decided the world will never have access to again. Your voice. Your yes. Your willingness to be seen, to love, to build, to believe again.

But what happens when the cave becomes a cage? What happens when what you thought was keeping you safe begins suffocating what God put inside of you? What happens when you’ve grown comfortable in a place that requires you to keep silencing His call?

I’m writing to the woman who thinks she’s safer in her silence, even as she feels the weight of everything God is calling her to say. How long will you let what happened to you have authority over what comes out of you?

I pray that as you read this, courage begins to rise in the very place fear has occupied. May you find the strength to answer God with the fullness of your yes, even through tears, even with a trembling voice. There are prayers you still need to pray, words you still need to release, and work God has entrusted to your hands.

When the friendship and the fashion both hit. 🤎

When my girl @ashelybrowntv touched down in Chicago!!!! I knew we would have the time of our livesss. We can go from fashion to faith, from a full beat and a fire look to the deepest conversation you can imagine. She’s refreshing, amazing to be around, and very much my kind of woman. We all need to examine how we respond when God’s direction challenges what we want. It’s easy to overlook how attached we are to a particular outcome until obedience requires us to release it. When my girl is in Chicago, we go OUTSIDEEEEE!! 😂 And she said photoshoot!!! That wasn’t nothing but a wordddd!!!! Sunday we had a ball after church laughing about us getting older and smiling because after over two decades, we’re still locked in. If you know me. You know who this is!

We call each other with good news, bad news, new ideas, goals, fears, and more! Annnddd don’t let us get a new fragrance! Or have a good snack. . .we be on the phone SCREAMING, and wait. . .don’t let us get a new baggggg!! You’d think we gave birth and were asked to be the god mother lol. We get excited about the little things because we know they matter to the other. 😂 We speak life into each other, show up to help each other build, and find so much joy in seeing each other thrive.

Y’all, this is future Dr. Martin, and please understand it won’t be an honorary degree! LOL! She’s putting in the WORK, and I’m so proud of her!!
