NAC2026

One of the most fun comps of my life. Met so many new friends and made my first major championship finals for a great experience. Comp performance got better for sure, satisfied really my only big cubing goal for the year so not really sure where I'll go from here. Awesome seeing all my friends do well and winning/podiuming at a huge comp.

This year was a lot of fun and I'm very happy with the PRs I broke from the year, especially megaminx. Getting a 29.74 WR46/NR10 single was way beyond my expectations, especially after only getting my first ever sub-30 single a few months before. Ending the year WR68 for average is pretty solid too, and even though I only broke PR 5 times this year for mega they were all big drops.

It was a blast visiting new regions and meeting so many new people, especially at southeast champs and worlds and meeting all the megaminx guys in Seattle. Southeast was definitely my favorite comp ever and it really makes me wanna continue to visit new places. It was also cool having mid-atlantic champs so close to home this year, and I'm glad I passed the torch down to Matt Liong since you've improved like crazy and pushed me far as well.

Starting coaching and doing it for free has also made me realize how important and beneficial it is to give back to the community, and it's also helped me improve as a little side-benefit. It's awesome working with people from both my region and across the globe. Especially awesome seeing Zakaria break state record 4 times in only a few weeks and win megaminx at a comp too, you're going places bro.

Flying myself to a competition was a bucket list goal of mine ever since I got my private pilot license last summer, and I'm super happy I was able to do it this fall at Axemann. The Grumman Tiger is an awesome plane and UNV is a fantastic airport, and adding all that to going to a comp is such a full-circle moment for me. Gonna get instrument rated next year so I'll be able to go to more and further comps by plane.

Mids '25 wasn't the greatest comp, but had some good results (both megaminx PR2s and 7 big cube PR's) and liked being with all of my friends. Competing 10 minutes from home was also pretty cool. Congrats to @mattthelion958 on mid-atlantic mega champion bro

End of a 7 month pr drought and beginning of an even longer pr drought

Getting a sub 30 single was the last thing i expected for this comp, and backing it up with a 34 average (2-3 seconds faster than my global) is even crazier. PR single by 2.5 seconds + 6th fastest solve overall and average by 1.5 seconds. 29.74 single is 46th in the world and 10th in the US, 34.83 average is 59th in the world and 11th in the US. Not expecting to beat these until next year at the least

Shoutout to all my friends for getting crazy pr's and podiums in all their favorite events because seeing friends do great is what makes competitions so fun after all
