out there today.

Whittlesea - Broadford - Tallarook - Strath Creek - Flowerdale.

Did a lot of gravel riding today, from Tallarook to Reedy Creek, through the State Forest and Yarra Glen to Warrandyte, passing through Bend of Islands, around the back of Sugarloaf Reservoir. Such a great road, Skyline Road!

Saw heaps of Road kill, namely Kangaroos, everywhere.

A great ride down through Gippsland to catch up with a friend in Wonthaggi. 🏍️

The ride down took me over Mt Dandenong, through Emerald, Pakenham, Poowong, Bena, Jeetho and Krowera before rolling into Wonthaggi.

Coming home, I took a different route via Lance Creek, Korumburra, Strzelecki, Torwood, Neerim South and Powelltown, then back via Gembrook-Launching Place Road. Then back over Mt Dandenong to home.

Way down at Lance Creek, something completely unexpected happened… I came out of a back road onto the Korumburra–Wonthaggi Road just as a group of Harley riders came cruising past. I pulled out to join the tail of the group — and then realised the last Harley rider was Steve! 😂
What are the chances of randomly bumping into him that far from home?
Steve was just as surprised to see me as I was to see him. 😂
So I tagged along with the Harley owners for a while until they eventually turned off and headed back.
Definitely not something I expected to happen on the ride down!

Spring had Gippsland looking its absolute best — incredibly green, rolling hills, endless dairy farms and some great roads to explore. Beautiful weather, quiet country roads and plenty of time in the saddle. 400 km 😎✌️ by @dxc_springer

Yellingbo. They finally had the old rustic roadhouse open today. They’ve got some tables and chairs in there. It’s a bit dark and there’s only a dirt floor inside but it’s got heaps of character, with a few interesting things to look at when you’re having a bite to eat. Met a few people there today with Steve. The amount of times I’ve been to this place and it’s always been locked up. I’ll have to get back there again. by @dxc_springer

Brighton BMW ride today 😎✌️
- Mount Wallace - Ballan - Blackwood
- Trentham - Woodend North
- Lancefield - Kilmore
- 350km.

There were a hell of a lot of us on the ride today. I was singing this song in my head, as we were riding, from Brighton, through the city and over the Westgate bridge. It sure was a drag! Although, I must say it was nice to see the motorist’s faces and their reaction, seeing 50 BMW’s scrambling their way through the early Saturday morning traffic.

Once we were out the other side of the city, for a regroup. We were welcomed by the open roads of the west.

I especially enjoyed, some new back roads up and around the wind farm, at Mt Wallace. Also pleasantly meeting some very nice riders during the day. Lots of amazing bikes to look at and discuss. My bike jumped for joy, when it met its brother and sister today. There were three GSA trophies on the ride. 😝 #brightonbmwmotorrad by @dxc_springer
