09.05.26 - ‘The Journey’ Debut Art Exhibition 🎨✅

Thank you so much to everyone who came last night, very grateful to see plenty of familiar faces and also make some wayyyy overdue link ups 😅… over 120 people across the night for the first ever show, thank you all for making it such a memorable night! 🙏🏼

To the people who helped make it happen in the build up and helped on the night to bring it to life - you know who you are, and you know I appreciate you! ❤️

Thank you @cupracitygarage_mcr for giving me the time & space to bring this event to life, it’s a dream come true and I couldn’t think of a better venue for it! 🙌🏼

‘BLVD’ - a new piece for @giveon 🎨🎶

I can finally show what I’ve been working on for the past few weeks, another 1/1 bespoke painting to add to Giveon’s collection, inspired by the ‘Beloved’ album & world tour. 💿🌎

I love how this one turned out, especially as my original plan had the letters in black and white to match the portrait, but I decided to go with the orange and it just makes everything pop so much more! 👀💥

Always proud of how far this guy has come, seeing him in 2022 in a 1k venue in Paris, to the bigger venues in 2023, and now full arenas in 2026 is crazy!

Proof that great art will always prevail. 👏🏼💐

I should’ve listened… 🤦‍♂️🫠

For years people have told me that I should try using oil paints, especially with my style requiring a lot of blending…

For the past 3 years I have used only acrylic and I put off trying oils due to a mix of them sounding complicated with mediums, drying times, etc. along with procrastinating due to them being out of my comfort zone… ❌

But I finally listened and decided to give them a go and I’ve realised the people were right all along. 😭😂 They’re so fun and easy to use, which is not what I expected if I’m honest!

If you’re like me and you’ve been putting them off I fully recommend you give them a go, there’s a time and place for both oils and acrylics, but I’ll definitely be using both going forward rather than just acrylic 🙌🏼

This piece is part of my next collection which will be on display at my early 2027 show - I’ll be announcing date, theme, name and venue very soon, so keep your eyes out! 👀

Here’s how my first attempt at oil painting is going so far…

I won’t lie I’m absolutely loving them, aside from having to be a lot more patient in between layers, they’re so nice to use 🙌🏼

Any tips or tricks are much appreciated, I’m very much winging this as I go… 🤣

My first underpainting for my first oil painting is done! 🎨✅

People have recommended I tried underpainting for a while and after trying it I’ll admit they were DEFINITELY right!

I really enjoyed doing it, and having started painting this now I can say it has really helped me! 🙌🏼

If anyone has any tips or tricks for underpainting and oil painting please comment below, it’s definitely a learning curve… 🫨😂
