Junior Garbrah displayed his ability to defend at a high level and score at all three levels for the Ringwood Hawks in the NBL1 South.

After an explosive debut where he recorded 9 steals, tied for the second most in NBL1 history, Garbrah was sidelined with an injury in just the second game of the season.

Despite the setback, Garbrah returned and provided key moments for the Hawks throughout the season in Australia’s premier second division as they competed for a playoff spot.

Key Performances
• 17 PTS • 9 STLS (T-2nd Most in NBL1 History)
• 20 PTS • 4 REBS in 23 MINS
• 21 PTS in 24 MINS

The Ghanaian-Australian combo guard holds a Cotonou passport while also qualifying as a local player in Australia, giving him plenty of options as he enters the market. It should be exciting to see where Garbrah lands.

6’8 wing Malang Athian is a silky-smooth two-way threat with elite versatility on both ends of the floor.

After a decorated collegiate career, Athian signed his first professional contract with Geelong United in the NBL1 South.

Athian has showcased his high-level catch-and-shoot ability, connecting on 46% from beyond the arc, while also displaying the wiggle, creativity, and burst needed to get downhill and finish craftily at the rim.

As a high-flying athlete, he can play above the rim offensively, while his explosiveness and timing translate defensively through his shot-blocking ability.

His length allows him to disrupt passing lanes, and his nimble footwork enables him to effectively guard positions 1 through 4.

With a rare blend of size, skill, and defensive versatility, Athian continues to establish himself as one of the more intriguing young wings in the NBL1 South.

As the season enters its second half, expect Athian to continue developing and making a significant impact.

6’6 Playmaking Wing Malik Whitaker is a true two-way threat with the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

The second-year pro suited up for Mons Belgium in the BNXT League, averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game while shooting an ultra-efficient 53% from the field, 40% from three, and 88% from the free throw line — narrowly missing the exclusive 50/40/90 club.

Whitaker’s offensive package is as versatile as they come. He can score at all three levels, rise above the rim with athleticism, or slow the game down with finesse. His midrange game shines both off the dribble and in post situations, while his perimeter shooting makes him a constant threat — especially creating off the bounce.

Defensively, his length, instincts, and activity allow him to disrupt passing lanes and guard multiple positions effectively.

Whitaker continues to elevate every season, and wherever the next chapter of his career takes him, it’s a move worth watching closely.

5’7 Guard Lanae Billy is a dynamic three-level scoring threat with elite court vision.

A key piece for the Weber State Wildcats, Billy made a major jump in production, averaging 11.8 PPG, 3 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 1 steal per game.

Before transferring to Weber State University, she spent two dominant seasons at Fort Lewis College, totaling 896 points (16 PPG), 158 steals (2.6 SPG), while shooting 36% from three on high volume (7 attempts per game) across 56 games.

Darren McHenry is an absolute workhorse.

The 6’6 Kansas City native made his presence felt as a paint enforcer for the KCKCC Blue Devils, bringing constant energy and physicality while playing bigger than his size.

He attacks the glass with purpose, finishes above the rim with force, and impacts the game through sheer effort. With soft touch and nimble footwork, he adds versatility on the defensive end, able to hold his own across multiple matchups.

With those unteachable intangibles, he’s a gem for any 4-year program.

They’ll call it a breakout year — we call it expected.

6’7 All-American guard Amondo Miller Jr. delivered a record-breaking season, leading the #14 Lubbock Christian Chaparrals from the front.

21 PPG • 8.4 RPG • 3.1 APG • 1.5 SPG
shooting 50% from the field and 36% from three.
