Oh yeah, Micheal Dye is running for UNM HOmecoming! Get to know him! 🐺

My name is Michael Dye and I grew up and was raised in a small town in the midwest. I loved to play sports and hang out with friends and family growing up. 🏡

I am majoring in exercise science to pursue my career in Physical Therapy. I love the idea of being able to help people and help them achieve their goals and dreams. 🩻

I am President of one of the IFC fraternities here on campus called Pi Kappa Alpha here at UNM. One thing that really stuck out to me when I chose to rush was their connection to philanthropy. Over the years we’ve done several philanthropies, fundraisers, and charitable events, but my favorite has been our fireman’s challenge. We raise money for the IAFF Local 244, which is ultimately raising money for firefighters in need for retirement, who have undergone and survived injury from their job, or out of it. I have family members who are firefighters and this exact fund has been helpful to them before. 🚒

I am running for homecoming because I believe it is a great opportunity to help raise awareness for this local fund that helps raise money for our firefighters and represent the strength of my fraternity and the leaders within it that are on campus. 👑

Throughout my time at UNM I’ve had the opportunity to build friendships, support the community around me, and take on leadership positions that have made my time in college memorable. 🍒

Thank you and GO LOBOS!!! #vote1 #michaeldye #unmhoco taken in University of New Mexico by @dyeforhoco
