And just like that, my high school running career is over. From good times of running a pr, making memories with my friends to the bad times of injuries, being seconds away from a pr, and the fear of letting my team down or letting myself down. There comes good coaches teaching me how to run smart, efficient and develop my leadership skills with responsibility for myself alongside leading the team and bad coaches testing my leadership, mental and physical toughness and even threatening to kick me off the team. When it comes to blood sweat tears, both happy and sad, the jokes, memories, adventures, miles ran to cut off the seconds, running gave me all of this as well as life lessons and family I will never forget. To all my teammates and coaches (you know which ones), I want to thank you for everything. Always being there no matter what and motivating me to be the best I can. All my rivals and competitors that turned into some of my best friends thank you for the long runs at Stoney the warm ups and cool downs together the motivation in our races and the congratulations after we cross the finish line. I hope to race again at the next level someday. Thank you, LCN 🖤💛🖤. by @dylan__penberthy
