When I moved to Los Angeles at 18, I thought happiness was something I had to earn.

For most of that time, I believed fulfillment lived somewhere in the future. I kept thinking, “I’ll be happy when…” and filling in the blank with whatever milestone I was chasing next.

Every time I reached one, another appeared. It was always onto the next thing.

Lately I’ve been asking myself a different question:

What if I’m already fulfilled?

What if there’s nowhere I need to arrive?

I wrote “I’m Already There” as a reminder to appreciate the life I’ve built instead of constantly measuring it against what’s next.

I hope this song reminds you that your worth isn’t waiting on the other side of your next achievement, and that it’s okay to be proud of how far you’ve come. In fact, I think it’s essential if we want to truly enjoy our lives.

I hope it encourages you to stop every once in a while and appreciate where you are rather than where you aren’t… or at the very least makes you want to run with your fists in the air like Rocky.
