« Action directe » the world’s first 9a... 💤💎

It remains one of my best memories in climbing so far, not just for the difficulty of the performance, as it only took me 6 attempts, but for a multitude of other reasons...⬇️⬇️⬇️
Such as the fact that it’s one of the most iconic routes in the world, and its status impressed me; I hesitated to dive into it. Also, because I was recovering from a pulley injury (total A4 rupture), and I chose this route because I could climb it without using my ring finger.
Because, yes, I missed trying hard routes terribly!
The fact that this historically significant belay is the first one I clip since the injury...
And, most importantly, that I could share such great moments by going back to take this photo and shoot a film that will be released very soon, with the best project partner possible... @sebastienmaflin ❤️!!

Discovering La Ramirolle a few weeks ago with all my guys 🫶🏻

I don’t really have the words to describe the immensity and beauty of the Verdon Gorge…

Obviously, I wasn’t in great shape yet: I had only had my cast removed less than two months before, and La Ramirolle is a pretty brutal place to come back to climbing ahaha 😂

I put my fingers on “a Muerte Bilou”, a [9a/+], and because of the conditions and my shape, I only got one proper ground-up attempt. I fell on the last hard move.

But I’m still really happy to have climbed the P1 [8c+], and more importantly, it gave me quite a few things to work on to get stronger in this kind of route… For example, getting more endurance in my legs 😂

During my attempt, I couldn’t rest for more than 2 minutes and I left with my legs completely on fire. It made me question quite a few things about my climbing and training, especially when I found out that @bogliacc rests there for 25 minutes 😅… that seems inhuman to me 🥵

Anyway, I’m super motivated to go back, get my revenge, and climb some more routes on this absolutely insane overhang 🔥

« Classée dure » ~ [9a] ✅

Hello, future projects? 👀
I’m still far from my prime, but don’t worry… I’m coming!🔥

I might not have all my weapons yet, but I’ve got enough to not let myself be pushed around!

Kisses, and see you very soon! 🫶🏻

Despite growing up in Geneva, I had never really been to La Balme. These past few weeks, I’ve been going there for my comeback to climbing, and honestly… it’s pretty damn cool! 🔥

Incredible lines, hard and seriously endurance-based, opened by the legend @mathieubouyoud . And I still have plenty to keep me busy for a while! 💎
I’ll definitely be back!

Thanks for the session, my big @maelmusson 🫶🏻

My first month post-cast ⬇️

When the doctors told me I wasn’t supposed to do any sports for another 12 weeks, after already spending 7 weeks in a cast… lol.

The day after getting my cast removed, I started working on my wrist rehab intelligently with my physio @enmouvement_lausanne I went back to climbing on 6b (it was hard 😅), but I listened to my body and didn’t rush the process.

I’m slowly building my strength back up and, even though I’m still far from my level, 3 weeks after getting my cast removed, I went to La Balme de Yenne and climbed “Dissidence”, ~8c, in two goes.

I went back this weekend to try the extension, ~9a, and had a really good go that would probably have worked if I had more endurance and more volume 😅. But there are no miracles: your level doesn’t just come back overnight. I have to rebuild this pyramid, brick by brick, without skipping steps, just like I’ve done after every injury over the past four years.

All of this is just to say that I’m the happiest person in the world to be climbing again, to be back on rock, to be able to fight my way up some routes again and slowly get back into training, even though I’m still very limited. And I wanted to share this happiness with you!

Every time I come back from an injury, far from goals and pressure, I understand why I climb and why I love this sport so much.

It’s not a passion. It’s a way of life. ❤️

Slowly getting back on the wall 🤩

I feel so weak right now 🤣 but I’m soooo happy to be back on the wall, feeling the pump, the holds in my hands, feeling the high!

It’s in these moments, when you’re getting back into climbing, that you remember why you climb and why you love it so much.

My love for climbing is still as strong as it was when I was 10–12 years old. And even though I’m starting slowly again, climbing easier routes, the feeling is still incredible! ❤️ taken in La Balme by @dylan_chuat

For a long time, I had a unique project in mind — one that might only be possible in a valley like Fionnay.
A magical valley that has seen me grow, dream, fail, and succeed.
My entire team and me, we spent months working to tell this story through a film.
The idea?
Find the right day. The right fitness. The right weather. The perfect window within a very short period of time.
This project was about attempting, in a single day, one after another:

• A 8C boulder
• A 8c sport climbing
• A 8c multipitch

Three disciplines. Three styles. Three iconic lines. One single day.

The kind of project where everything has to align — from your physical condition to the weather.
On June 12th, everything seemed to be coming together.
I sent the boulder first try. I climbed the route quickly. Then came the multipitch.
I reached the crux pitch.
I felt great.
I was climbing perfectly, without a single mistake.
The perfect run, until the very last move, my foot slipped, I fell.
Unfortunately, during the fall, my wrist slammed violently into the wall.
I’m not going to tell the whole story in this post because I want to take you with me on this journey all the way to the release of the film.
After an unsuccessful second attempt due to pain and limited mobility, I thought it was nothing serious.
But the next day, the verdict came:

A scaphoid fracture and a severe wrist sprain.
Today, I’m writing this post with my arm in a cast.
My next attempt will have to wait until summer 2027, and the frustration is immense.

But climbing is one of those passions where nothing is ever guaranteed.
That’s also why we love it.
Now, another challenge begins: healing, rehabilitation, rebuilding my level, and coming back stronger.
And while I’m obviously disappointed, there’s one thing I already know:
I’ll be back.
Because this project deserves to become reality.
But above all, because I’m not done yet.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes footage from this attempt through a reel.

Trust me, this film will tell a story that goes far beyond a simple performance.

See you soon ❤️

Another obvious and incredibly fun line to climb on the @samuelometz Wall 💎!!

A steep overhanging wall, amazing holds, and exceptional rock quality… what more could you ask for?
