This makes me smile. 😁It was so much fun teaching @dylan_walczyk and @steezyjoenetwork some spins (with long boards!) in Zermatt. We skied this little routine after about two minutes of lessons. ✨Dylan’s on the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team and the World Cup mogul season starts pretty soon. Cheer him on! And don’t forget to smile. ❄️

P.S.: For those who want to learn: Dylan was doing some one-legged ‘inside spins.’ They’re called that because you’re spinning in the direction of the inside edge (of your standing leg). ⛷️

@dylan_walczyk demonstrating the “Moguls Direct Line” - this path through the bumps is the result of narrowing the turn corridor and taking a more direct path to a later turn apex all while keeping the ski traveling tip to tail in fall-line. Producing a smooth direct carve with no pivot.

Rockstar! Literally. One of the biggest joys on this last trip was meeting @dylan_walczyk and teaching him some ballet moves. Dylan is a mogul skier on the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team and picked things up *fast. Here, he’s learning a one-pole cartwheel which he nailed after just a couple tries. (On long boards!) I can’t wait to share more. Cheer Dylan on this season and follow him and @steezyjoenetwork for mogul skiing tips! ~

PS: Freestyle was once moguls, ballet, and aerials and most of us were ‘combined’ skiers back in the day, skiing all three disciplines. Anytime I meet a fellow freestyler it feels like meeting family. 🩷
