Last year, I honed my cooking skills 🔥My Top Ten 2024 dishes I learned or perfected. 1. Seafood Pasta w/ prawns, scallops, veggies in a white wine sauce*2. Homemade Focaccia ( Family recipe) 3. Sautéed Chicken with Beurre Blanc sauces4. Caldo Verde Soupa 🇵🇹5. Pistachio and Yogurt Chicken Curry*6. Homemade Naan 7. Rojōes à Comino ( Braised Pork w/lemon and cumin)*8. Rib Eye Steak with Red Wine Sautéed Mushrooms, roasted potatoes and side salad.9. Garlic Shrimp Bisque*10. One Year todayJeff: How you doin’ young man?Dylan: Hey, Uncle Jeff!Jeff: You workin’ ?Dylan: Yah/ No( Depending on the day and acting job)Jeff: Alrigh, sit down…check this out.I’d enter the house, that’s what he’d say ❤️ I can’t believe a year has gone by since he passed. He was elemental in my life. When he died it was like losing the rain. How can the rain be gone? I haven’t really posted before but @purejeffski was another father to me. Before he passed I told him so, and he said with a smile “ Yaaaa, I know.”When my parents were far away in Oregon; Jeff Sue, Sky and Nico were there. I’m so grateful for them and I’ll forever be.I first met my Uncle Jeff when I was four and I remember this big hand reaching down. “How you doin Dylan?” I didn’t know what an uncle was? He was family. My father and Jeff became brothers in college. They became who they are because of each other. From the moment I first heard music, I heard Jeff’s music and his voice. @bonnieraittofficial said “He had a voice, so warm and soulful unlike any other”. It is still so true. He was my first real inspiration and STILL inspires me. I didn’t realize you could get paid to do something like play music. Be an Artist? Now that was somethin.He’d push me to perform. In front of my heroes sometimes. He was always introducing me to different things, books, music and people he told me to know.“ Well ya know, Prince was stealing shit from Joe Tex! I saw him perform at the Apollo. He bout damn near blew James Brown out of the water! 👀”Any kind of cool I have, I got from him. I miss his bad jokes. I also miss the way he cut through bullshit. Some of the greatest lessons in life, I learned from him. Sometimes I think he was too humble. “ You know Dylan…we’re in the same boat.”“ No, we’re not! Uncle Jeff, you toured with Sting and everybody!”“ Naw, I mean we’re both one hit away from bein our own bosses”. To this day: he really was in a whole other league.He was there when times were really bad. His corn chowder healed me once. He was always there with advice, perspective and most importantly: love and soul. We’ll love you always, Uncle Jeff ❤️ Now listen to his music by @dylandovale
