Watching the sunset in the rolling hills of California 4.5 years ago. Gearing up for my final retreat I’ve been reflecting on all the cool places hosting has taken me, the incredible properties I’ve rented & all the friends I’ve made along the way.

3 years ago this week I shot one of the most memorable sequences of my career & I’ve always been proud to say that this was a genuine part of their wedding day & not a styled session.

I remember this like it was yesterday, finishing up the session it had been calling for rain pretty much all day. We packed up our cameras and were about to get ready for dinner when it started to sprinkle. As everyone panicked to get their cameras back out the sky opened up & it absolutely dumped, creating some of the most memorable images I’ve ever caught in my mind.

This was at my very first workshop, I woke up reflecting about the event hosting side of my career & how much I’ll always cherish the memories. Going into my last retreat this December I know it’s going to be an emotional one for me but I’m so excited to set it off proper with one last hoorah.
