FF7 Revelation reveal at the summer games fest 2026 was insane and it’s slated for release in spring 2027!!!! It honestly doesn’t feel that long since rebirth dropped so I’m glad we are getting the conclusion to the remake trilogy next year.

In this reel we explore the use of colored light and white balance/color balance to alter your images’ look and feel!

By manipulating WB settings, we can effectively turn white lights into colored lights, changing the predominant color of your image. Here, the strobe behind the subjects was white in reality — no color gel used! However, it appears as if it was illuminating our PMI SmokeNINJA PRO’s smoke with color, creating a bigger visual impact. The tube light which is our key light becomes white, or at least close to it — light is reflected differently depending on the surface where it lands.

Some advantages of this method when compared to blasting the environment with colored lights directly are the ability to “paint” into the areas where your light does not hit, thus changing the color of shadows and ambient light. Furthermore, you are able to use fewer lights and lower power — great for portable event setups.

Key color pairs to remember to figure this out are:
Blue ↔️ Orange
Green ↔️ Magenta
Red ↔️ Cyan
(Just like the color balance sliders in Adobe Ps)

For Dabasaurus’ Hinako we used teal to push the WB to red, and for Dylan’s Viego we used reddish-magenta to push it to turquoise.
