What do #Mets or #Nationals fans still have to look forward to this season?

Introducing the Northeast Corridor Cup, an imaginary baseball championship with a real history, contested head-to-head between teams in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington since the days of the Brooklyn Robins.

Sometimes in baseball you have to make your own fun. And buddy I’ve made a lot of it. Let me know if you want to hear more about this.

Hey sorry I haven’t been making baseball videos, work’s been crazy! In the meantime why the hell does the time loop slasher movie #happydeathday take place on Monday and not a Friday? Is it just an #xfiles reference? I mean I forgot to even get into the fact that there’s also a frat party that night, on a MONDAY NIGHT, and with the football game coming up and everything it just seems like a weird choice.

Anyway @thechrislandon help me out here

For the Mets, this baseball season can inarguably be considered a failure. For me? I had a wonderful year. 16 MLB games in 6 different parks with a dozen permutations of family and friends. I saw my team’s future be born — AJ Ewing’s first start, Carson Benge breaking the Mets rookie hits record — I went to the park as Spider-Man and made a bunch of kids (and adults’) night, and got to enjoy some quality time outside with my fellow New Yorkers. At home, baseball has kept me and my family company for countless hours, and I’ve enjoyed every brilliant Howie Rose call and every unhinged Keith Hernandez digression. I will miss baseball tremendously, and only hope we get it back by March.

It’s crazy that I spent over a decade away from this game. I’m so glad to be back. Do I wish the Mets were in the postseason this year? Absolutely. But I love baseball more than I love winning. When you’re a Mets fan, you kinda have to.

See ya next year, boys. by @dylanrothcantstop

This month the #mets will run an intense gauntlet to retain the most prestigious made-up championship in baseball! It’s the #NortheastCorridorCup, which they’ll defend head-to-head against the #yankees, O’s, and #phillies over the next two weeks. Can they maintain momentum and make something of their lousy season?

Let’s find out. #lfgm by @dylanrothcantstop

This weekend’s series between the #mets and #nationals is for the #northeastcorridorcup, a historic and completely imaginary championship contested between teams on the railway that connects Boston and DC. Can this be what saves the Mets season? It can if you ✨believe!✨⚾️

We’re finally up to date on this history of the #northeastcorridorcup, ahead of this weekend’s matchup between the #mets and #nationals! It’s a celebration of a made-up baseball consolation prize with a real century-long #mlb history.

I’ve been backing each installment of this series with an era-appropriate arrangement of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and this one’s by @slokeymusic

Thanks again to my buddy Nick Bond who’s been making graphics and doing data analysis! #lfgm by @dylanrothcantstop

I was so stoked about last night’s #wpbl game between the Heights and the Hunters that I decided to do a little SC-style recap. It’s the first time I’ve done this, I hope it turned out cool!

Dang. Baseball. Pretty cool. Anyone else here heard of it

Another chapter in the history of the Northeast Corridor Cup, following the imaginary #baseball championship through MLB’s expansion and relocation era. Discover landmark games you didn’t know mattered to the #yankees, #redsox, and #oriolesnation!

Next week we’ll get caught up with the Interleague Era! by @dylanrothcantstop

The WPBL broadcast situation isn’t quite as lousy as I thought! A bunch of free games have been announced for Scripps Sports Network… but really only for east coast teams. #nyheights and #bostonhunters fans rejoice! #wpbl #baseball by @dylanrothcantstop

The new Women’s Pro Baseball League has tremendous potential, but theit broadcast distribution deal with ESPN is doing them no favors, at least not yet.
