None of these photos turned out how I’d hoped. They developed differently than I pictured when I was shooting them.
My birthday is tomorrow and I’m feeling that way about a lot of aspects of my life. Picturing the perfect version of where you’ll be through a filtered lens. Then looking at the results and realizing it’s turned out nothing like you’d envisioned.
34 is a filler year. No big milestone. No one asking how it feels. I’ll be older than my dad was when I was born. It’s hard to think of those kinds of things and not get emotional. It feels like I should have so much more figured out by now.
While it’s insignificant in the grand scheme, it is a sort of transitional year, moving from your early 30’s to your mid-30’s. But I think that’s sort of the ethos I’m taking with me. Shedding old ways of thinking, behaving, and reacting. Learning to enjoy where I’m at and the results, even if it doesn’t turn out perfect. Making sure I’m being intentional with my time and effort.
And sort of like these photos, keep moving forward and ride the momentum. See you out there.

This time a year ago I was at probably one of the lowest points in my life. But luckily, things can always change.

12 days in Japan for Sophia’s birthday was an absolute joy. An incredible experience for my first time outside the U.S. Grateful is an understatement. Anyway, here’s a photo of Tokyo Skytree from Nakamise Shopping Street.

Accidentally loaded this film twice a few years apart. Got a few oddly serendipitous double exposures though.

Hey there 👋
Long time no post. Finally getting around to developing some film rolls that have been sitting in a box, sitting in a desk, or sitting in a camera for the better part of 5 years. Not in love with a lot that I’ve gotten back so far but found a few gems. Happy to get back to it soon though.
Anyway — here are some cool sunshades in Las Vegas from sometime in 2021.

Finally finished a few rolls I’ve had lying around. I’ve also bought like 4 new point & shoots since I last posted. Getting photos back always inspires me to go shoot more. Hope you’re all doing well. This was downtown LA what felt like forever ago.
