Jesus saved my life.

on a rainy night in the fall, He looked at my doubt, my fear, my anger, and my hatred, but chose to love me still. it was Him who lifted me out of the dark place i’d fallen into, back into the life and the light He provides.

He had no clear reason to redeem my soul, nor the 234 that we heard audibly declared this past month.

yet still, He died for us, He loves us,

and He’ll do it again.

thanks to RAS for the summer of a lifetime, allowing me be the smallest part in the biggest stories.

this is Dylan, my boyfriend of an entire half of a year! Dylan Cavolo is the kindest, wisest, and most patient person i have ever met. Dylan makes me laugh until i have an ugly double chin (as pictured), but he will also wipe away my tears no matter how dramatic my reason for crying. Dylan has taught me what it means to have a relationship built on Christ, and for this, i want to highlight one of his experiences.

for the past month, Dylan has sacrificed his summer for the second time in order to serve on Work Crew at Rockbridge for YoungLife. every single day, he woke up bright and early to create an unforgettable experience for high schoolers to have the opportunity to learn about Jesus and His sacrifice. Dylan works with consistency, intentionality, and dedication. he worked tirelessly throughout his often more than 12-hour work days, and he does so without pay. Dylan and his coworkers live so selflessly for the Lord, that they willingly give up themselves to show His love to others. i am so proud to have been able to see Dylan’s hard work this week alongside some of his new best friends. God bless you all!!

Dylan is the type of person to always let you go first and put others before himself. he inspires me every day to be more selfless, empathetic, and hardworking. he teaches me how to love the Lord fearlessly, and be strong in all aspects of my life. there is no one else i would want by my side, and i am so grateful to have such an uplifting best friend for the rest of my life. i love you, Dylan Thomas Cavolo. i am so proud of you! happy 6 months ♥️ p.s thanks for playing wagon wheel (even tho you don’t like to) bc we wouldn’t be here without it😉 by @dylcav1

Happy birthday to my girlfriend Brynn! Spending time with you is always the best, and I’m so lucky to be in love with my best friend. I’m beyond grateful for you and the way you rewrote love for me, teaching me what it’s truly supposed to look and feel like. Thanks for having such a positive impact on my life, I can’t wait to spend the rest with you!

I chose a few of my favorite pictures of you and of us - it feels like it’s been so long since we took our first one together. Time has flown by so quickly, but I’m hoping it starts to slow down as we get closer to August…

You’re nothing short of a blessing to my life, and I can’t help but brag about all the great things you’ve done and will do. Plus, 7 hours up north is light work to a guy that loves to drive!
