One of the most aesthetic boulders in the Tablelands, and only known by a small group of people.
I spotted this block on Google earth a few months back and after seeing it in person, knew it was an instant classic.
The cluster of boulders has its own roadside parking and is a great spot to avoid crowds and chase dream lines. There’s a lot of development potential in that area so if you put in some work, you’ll garunteed be rewarded.
The more days I spend on the Eastide, the more I realize the unlimited adventure that awaits 🌄

This one is somewhat contrived but as is climbing. Calling this one “Loco Motive” grades don’t make sense but if I had to guess I’d say v5ish maybe 4? Who knows. Fun moves if you can reach! This Boulder is stacked and definitely has some classic problems!

Legend has it, this problem is v10/11 and has been climbed before. After dialing in the moves it felt more v8/9ish to me, none of the moves are super hard, but they’re all pretty real. It’s pumpy so the real struggle was the endurance for me.

It’s cool exploring stuff outside the guide, you never know what you’re gonna find. This Boulder is Mega compared to the other boulders in the area, and it’s stacked with lines ranging from super easy, to futuristic.

Calling this problem “BraveHeart”.
The grade felt about v5ish.
The start is the crux! Make it through the tough beginning moves and get rewarded with a glorious quest to the more positive holds up top.

I give this problem ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great rock quality, flat landing, easier moves up top, proud face, great setting. What more could you ask for?

Also give this problem a heart flutter 💗, it is pretty tall and once you’re past the halfway point down climbing Is very difficult, forcing you to commit to the finish or take a massive fall. Rehearsing this one on a rope, or inspecting the holds and body positioning could prove useful!

Got this dyno proj. today! Adding to the small list of Dyno’s in the buttermilks! Not sure if it’s been done, a lot of people have climbed on that boulder before, so wouldn’t surprise me if it’s already been done!

Keeping it simple, calling this one “Bowling Pin Dyno” grades don’t make sense with dynos, but feel like this one was v10 range for me!

It’s a big move! If you like dynos, go huck big and get some air! 😎 HAAAAAAUH!!
