Jeremiah, My First and Best.

Jeremiah….my first and best. The first one to love me without even knowing me. The best part of me is you. I could go on and on about how hard this one year has been but I would be a liar if I don’t acknowledge what a beautiful experience we’ve had. From feeling your first kicks in my belly to actually feeling it on my belly reminds me constantly of how you always made me aware that you were in there. How you never let me feel alone.

I loved how eager you were to come out. Everyone kept telling me “boys are lazy, they come two weeks after due date” but not my Jeremiah . If not that the midwife’s had sent me home multiple times on my due date, you would have been on time! But you still came a few hours after midnight, so you were still on time. Your eagerness transcends to even meeting your milestones. You were so eager to have neck control, sit, crawl, stand and walk.

I am so proud of the boy you have become. You are so strong yet so sweet. You are very serious but have the warmest smile, the loudest cry and the heartiest laugh.

I love you endlessly with all my heart. Thanks for making me a mother. It’s the best feeling in the whole wide world.

I have been holding off writing anything about motherhood or parenting because I don’t wanna be one of those people that makes motherhood my whole personality. I know it’s hard to say but I didn’t want to come across as overly mummy-ish but guess what, it’s who I am now so deal with it 🤭. Also partly because I’m very new, still learning and navigating through it every day. A lot has happened this year and this short video won’t do justice to how incredibly adventurous the year has been. I started the year soo scared because of the plans I had. I had a vision of how I wanted the year to go and I committed into the hands of the Lord. God showed up for me daily. He fed me daily. He sent ravens to actually feed me at every step of the way. I saw firsthand what it meant to live one day at a time. This is not to say that it’s easy. To live daily at the feet of Jesus is to be completely reliant on him- this means you have nothing. I am a living testimony of the goodness of the Lord, this is the doing of the Lord. God gave me the best gift to do life with and we are so grateful for His grace over our lives @kofiokyere301 . I love my job as a teacher. I love the experience of lecturing in college. I love the change I make in each learners life . I love that they know Phoebe won’t take excuses. I love that they know Phoebe knows they are highly capable of overcoming challenges. I love the difference I make in their education and the hope I bring to them. I’m honoured to be recognised because I battle imposter syndrome daily. I’m honoured for being commended at SLT meetings. But what makes my heart glad is that Jesus is leading me and I am blindly following. I love that I took this step of Faith. Lord keep leading me because it is not me I’m leaning on. Walked into the new year with lots of congratulations and I’m grateful to God for it. There’s nothing that is impossible with God. This is a dream come true and I am grateful for it. Tenacity and Strength are the two words I’d use in describing my 2022. You know the year can’t end without my long ass essays. Guys God has been faithful. You have come thus far by grace. You have stepped into new things this year, pat yourself on the shoulder and be proud of yourself.
