38 years ago, I became a big sister to my favorite miracle. ❤️

This girl has been defying the odds since the day she was born, and she’s STILL doing it! She’s had a whole lot thrown her way over the years, but apparently nobody told her little sisters are supposed to listen… because she’s never been one to let anyone tell her what she can’t do.
We celebrated last weekend at Harvest Fest in Stillwater, followed by a trip to MOA for some shopping and ribs. I’m so thankful we get to keep making memories together. I said it years ago, and I’ll keep saying it, getting to watch you grow old is something I will never take for granted.

Happy Birthday, to my favorite sister! I love you! You’re getting awfully close to 40 for someone who’s supposed to be my LITTLE sister! 😂 by @dzneelvr

Is it correct? It’s all from memory, so I have no idea...but I’ve likely missed some.
Is everything spelled correctly? Also, no idea.
Did I just trace 10 drops of blood through what feels like every artery, vein, valve, and organ in the human body? Unfortunately, yes.
With this lesson and after successfully dissecting a heart last week, I feel qualified to apply for a job as a cardiologist. Do I know what I am doing? Absolutely not. But I can tell you 47 different ways to get to the right ventricle. by @dzneelvr

A few months ago, I was praying for a path.

After leaving my last job, I genuinely didn’t know where I was supposed to go next. Was I supposed to stay in the medical and healthcare world that I had worked so hard for? Was I supposed to continue to try to take a chance on sports, something I loved but had no idea where it would lead me? I remember asking God to just show me the direction I was supposed to go. And now I’m sitting here almost speechless at how quickly things can change.
I took the chance.
Now I’m working in Fan Experience at U.S. Bank Stadium with the Minnesota Vikings, and I was just fully offered the position of On-Field Support at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in January. I’m scheduled to work 9 days for the event!!
Sometimes you pray for God to show you a path, and you expect a little sign pointing you in the right direction. And Sometimes He starts opening doors you never even knew existed.
I don’t know exactly where all of this is leading yet, and for once, I’m okay with that. I’m just incredibly grateful for every opportunity, every person who has believed in me, every lesson that brought me here, and even the doors that closed when I didn’t understand why. I’m grateful for my God who has provided these opportunities.
And yes, I know some people are probably getting annoyed with all my posts about these opportunities and accomplishments. But you know what? I’m proud of myself. I’m proud of how hard I’ve worked, how far I’ve come, and the things I’m getting to experience. I’ve worked for these moments, I’ve prayed for these moments, and I’m going to celebrate them. The best part, I get to share these memories with the people I love. ❤️ The other side of this is that I hopefully give hope to others that are just trying to find their path. A few months ago, I was praying for direction. Today, I’m watching that prayer unfold right in front of me.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

If little Ashley could see me now… 🥹💜🏈

Today I got to walk out ON THE FIELD at U.S. Bank Stadium during halftime of a Minnesota Vikings game.

ON. THE. FIELD. 😭

There are moments in life that make you stop and think about the kid you used to be, the one with big dreams who had absolutely no idea where life would take her.

I wish I could go back and tell that little girl, “Just wait. Your story is going to be a wild one.”

Sports have always been such a huge part of who I am, and somehow this crazy journey has brought me here. From sitting in the stands and loving the game… to working in sports… to standing on an NFL field during halftime.

I definitely had one of those “Holy crap… this is actually my life” moments today. 😂🥹

Little Ashley would be absolutely freaking out.

And grown-up Ashley kind of is too. 💜

Never stop chasing the things that make your heart light up. Sometimes life takes the LONG way around to get you there but man, the view is pretty incredible when it does. by @dzneelvr

It’s the day of posts! 🤷‍♀️

Y’all!!! I just had communication with the College Football Playoff Administration!! I’m in the running to work at the 2027 CFP National Championship game in January!!
I cannot believe the doors that are creaking open for me! I’ve prayed for a clear path and I feel like I’m going the right way! Even if I don’t make the list, I’m thankful for the opportunity!

I’m sorry. I thought I posted here, so it’s a little late 😏

It’s long...but here it is.....
I’ve signed it, accepted it, received my starting details, and I can officially say it.
I get to work at U.S. Bank Stadium!
Even typing that doesn’t feel real yet.
This past year has taught me so much about starting over, taking chances, walking through doors even when I’m terrified of what might be on the other side, and trusting that sometimes the path that doesn’t make sense while you’re walking it eventually leads you exactly where you’re supposed to be.
I went back and forth between nursing and sports. Choosing to go back to school for Sport and Recreation Management meant choosing the dream that kept pulling at my heart. I knew I loved sports. I knew I loved the people, the atmosphere, the fans, and being part of creating moments people remember. I just didn’t know where that passion would take me.
And now it’s taking me to the great state of Minnesota.
There were disappointments along the way. There were doors that closed. There were moments I questioned myself and wondered whether I was completely crazy for chasing something this big. But I kept going.
And today, I get to look back at every twist, every setback, every application, every interview, every class, and every moment I refused to give up and say:
It was worth it.
I know this is just the beginning. I have so much to learn, and I’m walking into this opportunity incredibly grateful and ready to work.
Sometimes life changes because you finally become brave enough to chase the thing you can’t stop dreaming about. It’s only a dream if it stays on the pillow.
So here we go! New chapter. New adventure.
U.S. Bank Stadium... HERE I COME.

Life has been beating me with a pretty big stick lately. It feels like before I can catch my breath from one thing, something else comes along. There are mornings when getting out of bed feels harder than I’d ever admit out loud.

But I still wake up grateful.

Grateful for another sunrise. Another breath. Another chance to love people, laugh until my stomach hurts, watch a sunset, hear a favorite song, hug someone a little tighter, and experience all the little things we so easily take for granted.

Last night, I sat down and wrote a funeral sermon for three people who are being laid to rest today, one of them being Grandpa Larry. And if that doesn’t put life into perspective, I don’t know what will.

We spend so much time worrying about things that eventually won’t matter. We put things off because we assume there will be another day, another phone call, another visit, another chance to say I love you.

Life can be incredibly painful, but it is also unbelievably beautiful. Maybe part of the beauty is knowing that none of it is promised.

So I’m going to keep choosing gratitude. I’m going to notice the sunsets. Take the pictures. Make the phone call. Say “I love you.” Forgive when I can. Laugh loudly. Love deeply. And stop waiting for life to be perfect before appreciating it.

I might get knocked down 100 times, but I’ll get back up 101.

Because even on the hardest days, being here is still a gift. And today, I’m especially thankful for one more day. by @dzneelvr

I was told to document the good, bad, and ugly. Here’s the good and bad. The good- my A1C has dropped again. I’m getting closer and closer to being in ‘normal range’. The bad-I’m allergic to most adhesives so glucose monitoring has not been enjoyable. 🥴 I’m up for any suggestions you have to safely stop the burn, but just know that I’ve tried just about everything. by @dzneelvr

Sometimes, all you need is a walk, a little fresh air, and a view that reminds you how beautiful life can be. Standing on the bridge in Stillwater, watching the water flow, I was reminded that life keeps moving, and so do we. by @dzneelvr

…but ask me again tomorrow when I try to use the stairs. 😂 Just kidding! The people at @calibrated.strength have been amazing and I highly recommend any of the trainers! Jake is my pusher and motivator. Even if you aren’t sure about it, make an appointment to just talk to them. The support that I’ve had is beautiful and unlike any other trainer I’ve worked with. This place does not make me feel like I’m just a dollar sign to them. They actually care about not only my physical wellbeing but also my mental wellbeing as well. Give @pashbyconnor a call and just talk with him. Take the plunge. Start living for you! by @dzneelvr

Summer 2026… you were one for the books.

There were baseball fields, way too many miles on the road, new places, new friends, old friends, new umpires, familiar umpires, animals finding their forever homes, opportunities I never expected, and memories I’ll carry with me long after summer is gone.

There were some really high highs, a few moments that tested me, plenty of laughter, probably too much caffeine, and more than a couple “how is this my life?” moments.

I took chances that scared me. I learned when to hold on and when to walk away. I watched a crazy little idea turn into something meaningful. I met people who left their mark on my heart, some who were only meant to be part of one chapter and others I hope stick around for many more.

Somewhere between the baseball games, road trips, late nights, unexpected friendships, and questionable decisions, I learned a little more about myself and where I’m supposed to be headed.

Not everything about this summer went according to plan… and maybe that’s exactly what made it so damn good.

Here’s to the memories, the people who became part of the story, the ones who made me laugh until my stomach hurt, and whatever God has planned for the next chapter. ❤️ by @dzneelvr
