Last year, we filmed the complete e-Alps experience, riding the Haute Route from Verbier to Zermatt over five days.

Five days on the trails, moving through the Swiss Alps and showing what an e-Alps trip really looks like, from the riding to everything that happens along the way.

Want to see the full journey? Watch the complete film on YouTube through the link in our bio.

Quick update for 2027: we’ve refined the itinerary and split the original first day into two, giving us more time to enjoy the trails and the experience along the way. ✌️ by @e.alpsexperience

7 days across the Alps 🇫🇷🇨🇭

The Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt

All inclusive. Fully supported.

279 km of riding
12,800 m of elevation gain
13,840 m of descent

You begin in Chamonix, where Mont Blanc dominates the skyline and sets the tone from the first pedal stroke. Then you move valley by valley, pass by pass, gradually crossing into Switzerland without much ceremony. It just happens. The trail rolls on. The signs change. The rhythm continues.

Five days around the highest peak 🇨🇭🇮🇹🇫🇷

We used to call it the Three Countries Haute Route.
France. Italy. Switzerland.
Now most riders know it as the Tour du Mont Blanc.

All inclusive. Fully supported. One complete loop around Mont Blanc.

241 km of riding.
11 070 m of elevation gain.
11 600 m of descent.

You start in one country and, almost without noticing, roll into another. The language shifts. The coffee changes. The architecture too. The mountains, though, stay big and close and constant.

After nearly a week of riding in the Alps, some of our guests decide to skip the final ride around Zermatt.

But for those who join us, this last day often turns out to be one of the biggest surprises of the entire trip.

Even after days of exploring incredible trails, there is still so much to discover around Zermatt.

Sometimes, just when you think you’ve seen it all, the Alps have something more to offer. 🙌 by @e.alpsexperience

When people think about exploring the Swiss Alps, hiking often comes to mind.
But there’s another way to experience these mountains.
On an E-MTB, you can travel from one valley to the next, ride through small alpine villages, climb above the treeline, and discover how dramatically the landscape changes along the way.
You get to cover more ground while still feeling connected to the mountains, the trails, and everything around you.
That’s what makes crossing the Swiss Alps on two wheels such a unique experience.

There’s another side of the Swiss Alps worth discovering, and it starts in Crans-Montana.

It might not be our main route, but the riding here has a character of its own. Natural singletracks, rocky sections, flowing descents, and incredible views across the Rhône Valley.

The variety of terrain is what makes this part of the Alps so special. And that’s exactly why we’ve added more departures for 2027, with two options to explore this incredible region: from Crans-Montana to Aletsch or all the way to Zermatt. 🏔️🇨🇭 by @e.alpsexperience

A change of scenery for October.

Our season in the Swiss Alps may be over, but the riding doesn’t stop there.

Every October, we head south to Tuscany, Italy, with a group of guests to enjoy a completely different side of mountain biking.

With Boris, one of our e-Alps guides, and a local Italian guide leading the way, we get to explore new landscapes, discover incredible trails, and enjoy a few more days on the bike. 🙌

Here’s a little preview of the colours you can expect at high altitude in the Swiss Alps at the end of September. 🍂 by @e.alpsexperience

One last ride to close out the season!

We decided to climb to the Col de Mille, stop for lunch at Kampana, and finish the day back at the warehouse.

A pretty good way to wrap up another season in the Alps!

A special thank you to all our guests who joined us in 2026, and to the amazing team we’re lucky to have at e-Alps. None of this would be possible without you.

See you on the trails in 2027! 🏔️ by @e.alpsexperience

Day two on our Crans-Montana to Aletsch journey.

From Leukerbad to Lauchernalp, another day exploring the Valais on incredible alpine trails, surrounded by landscapes that keep changing as we move deeper into the mountains.

One of those days that really captures what this trip is all about. 🙌 by @e.alpsexperience

Two ways to ride from Chamonix to Zermatt.

Our Original Haute Route and Alpine Discovery share the same goal: crossing the Alps by E-MTB over 7 days and finishing beneath the Matterhorn.

The main difference is the technical level.

The Original Haute Route is our Level 3 itinerary, with more technical singletrack and more demanding terrain.

Alpine Discovery is Level 2, designed for riders who want the full Chamonix to Zermatt journey on more accessible trails, with less emphasis on advanced bike-handling skills.

Same Alps. Different ways to ride them.

Swipe through to find out which route is right for you.

Two itineraries, one iconic journey across the Alps. The Original Haute Route and Alpine Discovery both connect Chamonix to Zermatt, but offer a different level of technical riding along the way.

Both trips are 7-day guided E-MTB adventures, with the same level of support and the same destination. What changes is the terrain we choose to get you there.

The Original Haute Route is made for experienced mountain bikers who enjoy technical riding. Expect more challenging singletrack, steeper sections and terrain where good bike-handling skills matter.

Alpine Discovery keeps the spirit and scale of the Chamonix to Zermatt journey while reducing the technical difficulty. It’s a better fit for riders who are comfortable on a mountain bike but don’t necessarily want highly technical trails.

The biggest difference between the two itineraries is not the scenery, support or overall experience. It’s the level of technical riding you’ll encounter throughout the week.

Whichever route you choose, the goal remains the same: ride across the Alps from Chamonix to Zermatt and experience one of our signature E-MTB journeys. by @e.alpsexperience

If you’ve ridden our Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route, or the shorter version starting from Verbier, you’ll probably recognize some of these trails. 🙂

A few familiar sections, a few great memories, and some of our favorite riding in the Alps. 🏔️ by @e.alpsexperience
