I use to be an artist. I miss drawing. I was very active and was presented in shows and galleries. Making zines and trading them with other artists. Use to come out with many pieces. I was motivated and picking up the pen made me happy. A couple years ago depression hit me pretty hard. I can still smile and have a good time but I stopped doing the things I love, like making art. I had a nice spiral upwards going until I slipped and it all just came to a grinding halt. It use to give me anxiety, just looking at my drafting table and all my pens and supplies. I started to hate seeing my own art (which that part I feel is slightly normal for artist). Everyone was still supportive of me. Which is a very nice feeling but wasn’t enough for me to start up again. Here is a piece I had in a show in Lincoln Nebraska. Untitled.
