I often gain wonderful revelations when I’m out in Gods creation, near the water, fishing, cutting grass, or doing yard work. A few days ago, I spoke to my neighbor, and we talked about the difficulties we had struggled with trying to have NICE LAWN! After considering all that we have done the past few years, we both decided to just start over, kill the entire lawn, and start with a clean slate: aerate, seed, and fertilize. As I prepared to spray my lawn today, I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss a spot, so I added a blue dye to my backpack sprayer so I could see what I’ve already sprayed. As I was finishing, another neighbor walked by and said, “Man, your lawn LOOKS great!” Little did he know the very thing that was making this lawn look great now is covering the thing that is killing it!
Be careful only being concerned about what you or things look like because it just might be killing you from the inside.

The cap and cords deserve their own post.

Unbeknownst to me, Auri prayed before every performance, and I’m grateful her favorite photographer was at Senior Night to capture that moment. She wanted her favorite scripture on her cap, and it paired well with the photo.

Now, about those cords (9)—sis was decorated! I can’t let the day end without wishing my wife the happiest Mother’s Day. She is the absolute best mom to our girls and a bonus mom/aunt to so many others. If you know her, you know she’ll do just about anything for anyone, especially the kids (all of them 😅). Her unwavering dedication to helping others is truly inspiring. We had a time at Ugly Sweater Bingo Night 2025 on Friday! We’re thankful for every returning guest, newcomers to Elan Shari Events, everyone who shared our posts, and those who wished us well but couldn’t attend.

The Moores were outside tonight, definitely out past our bedtime on a school/work night. But we had a great time at The Battle of the Legends (DSU vs. Norfolk) game.
