I have no idea what I am doing. ‘They say’ if you put your face out there more people see your stuff. So here I am… talking… uncomfortable… but doing it anyway.

Like, comment, share and follow! I’ll be sure to check you out as well!!!

I am an artist just trying to figure out what I am doing and how to get my stuff out there. Hope you enjoy!

For me, this is about healing after loss. A love that never really leaves even after it’s gone. A shadow of comfort to carry with, not away from.

18 x 24 inch, wrapped canvas. Pressed carbon, charcoal, a little gold foil and acrylic paint.

When I figure out how to start selling things and then get brave enough to do it… she will be for sale… I can’t save them all. I am running out of space.

I was just on my own, pretending I knew what I was doing. I did clearly did not 🤣. This may be one of my favorite pieces. Pressed carbon, charcoal, acrylic and a bit of gold leaf. Next time I’ll recruit a friend or family member to assist. 🤣

In honor of ‘The Boys’ we have lost over the years.

So many moments I still feel them in our home. They are still here in the shadows and around corners I can’t turn. Their love swirls through the house and in the stories we tell. Losing them gave space for a new and taught me how precious time really is.

I have been playing with Procreate for a year or so now. I use it mostly to help me get proportions correct when sketching. I have finally created a digital outline that feels true to them.

It started as an experiment. I wanted to see what would happen if I used pressed carbon pencils on a canvas board. I loved how the face turned out. No reference just trying to keep proportions so it looked human. I don’t know if it’s male or female. I just knew they needed a red scarf 🧣 and it ended in a mixed media piece of art. This is all because I thought “I wonder what happens…” let’s all keep wondering. 💭

Graphite sketch in A4 sketchbook. Layering graphite, taking some away, blending and layering more. I know I can take this further but I am starting to rush which means I need to step away. Put the pencil down, hide the blending stumps and lock up my erasers bc it’s about to go south real quick.

Fur really tests my patience. This could be better but I just couldn’t draw anymore fur lines.
