“New Body” 16” x 16” porcelain and glaze, 2026

I am honored to be included in the group show, “Small Works Invitational.” This past winter I changed my typical art creating process and forged a new style. It is surreal to me, that 6 months later, in the heat of Summer, I get the opportunity to show an example from my new body of work, at a prominent gallery that has shown high end ceramic art for decades. If you are looking for some art, in need of inspiration or if you want to impress your date, I urge you to experience the show at, Duane Reed Gallery, 4729 McPherson Avenue. If you do go, or if you went already, challenge yourself to notice which piece continues to resonate with you beyond the gallery doors. The closing show is August 29th, 12pm-3pm. Gallery hours are 11:00am-4:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday. by @e.nauman

"Quantum Bloom"
2021

Gesso, phosphorescent paint and colored pencil on canvas over custom wallpaper

Georg Hegel's idea of Geist, or world mind, guided this study. The influential philosopher viewed shared history as the story or the development of the unfolding of Geist, it is coming to greater self-realization and self-fulfillment over time. Our individual finite minds have a share.

"Blip" is a brief interruption to your paid program. Do not adjust your television set, it is reconfiguring essential updates for viewers like you, live.
There was a pause before the stock zinger, "during these uncertain times," was branded in the spring of 2020. It was a moment of silence.

"Terraforming Paradise"
2019
50" x 70"
ink & acrylic

A gilded cenotaph like hive is the resting place for a grouping of transient apparitions, a "huddle". These are the bees knees, divine beings, demi-gods capable of creating and destroying habitat. The image presented to the viewer is an advertisement, its purpose is to sell the idea of an attractive afterlifestyle. If a planet is already habitable, shall it be spared a nuking?
Hungry for conflict mineral villains are apt to coup whoever they want, you're expected to deal with it. The pay dirt is vital, its extracted using earth boring machines and transformed into this afternoon's car battery. The concept of terraformation concretized in 1945. A single atomic blast can rapidly alter the climate, geology and ecosystem of the place that has been doomed for "reconstruction".
