December 10, 2025

Today was your due date. I’ve been thinking about what you might have looked like and whether you were a boy or a girl. I imagine your tiny fingers wrapped around mine and the way my whole world would have shifted the moment I finally held you.

I pictured myself with a growing belly, talking to you through every flutter. I imagined the life we were supposed to start together; one filled with love, laughter, and all the little memories we never got the chance to make.

By this Christmas, we thought we’d be welcoming a baby one way or another. Instead, we lost you and our next miscarriage was right before Thanksgiving. It’s impossible not to feel the weight of everything 2025 has taken from me. First my sweet grandma Mimi, then our precious angel boy Chomper, and then our baby in May and another in November. The pain is heavy, and the tears have felt endless.

But the depth of this hurt also shows the depth of my love. I talk to you often, just like I talk to Mimi and Chomper, and I carry you with me in everything I do. You will always be part of our family, always part of our heart, and you will never, ever be forgotten.

To anyone reading this: hold your loved ones tighter. Find joy in the small things. Let yourself feel every moment of love that comes your way. Life is heartbreakingly short, and loving with your whole heart…no matter the cost…is one of the greatest gifts we have.

And to you, my babies: thank you for choosing me, even for a little while. I will love you for the rest of my life. ❤️ by @e.v.r.g

My name is Bruce 🦈💙
“Hello Bruce” He’s a 10-pound chicken nugget with tiny teeth and a brother who’s still confused why Bruce follows him everywhere and tries to climb him like a mountain lol He also roars like a dinosaur for a few minutes while crate training. Fits right in with his oldest brother Chomper 🦕 and Irwin the raptor by @e.v.r.g
