Chapter 1 2020 / Wheels conversion done!
In the meantime I removed the wing from the Mtech2 kit in my opinion doesn't looked good I am replacing it anyway. So what's next for this car? I guess we'll see in 2021! by @e30_evolution

Chapter 1 2020 / Wheel conversion done!! Here's how it looked like and the result was quite satisfying. Those wheel were temporary. I wanted to see the fitment. The picture is not giving the props of how the car look good for real. Wheel conversion is really worth it. What's next for this car? I guess it will continue in 2021. by @e30_evolution

Another key part when doing wheel conversion and that I highly recommend is from a company from around here call SRS concept. They are brillant! They offer a wide range of parts for modifications on many brands but mostly all BMW's just like this 5 lugs kit. It will allow a more direct control. Go check it out. by @e30_evolution

Chapter 1 / Wheels conversion 5x120 72.6mm centerbore.

Doing wheels conversion is mainly an upgrade for performance.
-Control arms of E36 M3
-Wheel hubs and steering rack from E46 M3.
-Big brake kit Wilwood 6 pistons
-Race suspension/coil overs
-Kingpins from E36

The suspension of the E30 comes all in one part with the kingpin attach to it. For this to be done right the key part needed is the kingpins from E36 M3. So the control arms can be attach to it and the wheel hubs of the E46 fits on the E36 kingpin. I got in touch directly with KW. I wanted the top coilovers out there and thats what they did. Once I explain them KW made coilovers for my E30 that would allow the wheel conversion. But it was trickier than it looked. by @e30_evolution

Chapter 1/ Covid 2020. A 6 hours drive turn into a 3 days trip. They did not want me to become the owner of this car because I was from outside their city and I could of infected everyone if I ever got Covid 🤣. Stock in a city where everything is close. Thank god at least there was an hotel where we could stay. But I had some contacts and I manage to get the registration for this car anyway. Nothing would get in my way to get this car. I could finally leave even run away from there. ✌️👋

E30's were created to win races. And they did! Of course we are talking about the M3 that had more power than a regular 325i. But still it was pretty much the same car once you do your own modifications. I was lucky this one was just perfect. I did good research. This car could be the ultimate driving machine and even stock I could feel it. Looking at this car and wanted to do a lot of mods to it I knew that before winter I had not a lot of time before storing it. Everyone was busy. So I decided the first modification would be!!! a wheel conversion to 5 x 120 centerbore 72,6. 🚗🔥🔥 by @e30_evolution

Chapter 1 / Here's how the M20 i6 engine sounded like on an E30. I wanted to capture the sound before any modifications. Its a beautiful sound. Even if this engine was not powerful it was still good for the size of the car and its weight. The E30 is a very fun car to drive, the handling is solid and you get a very good feedback from the car. But what was next for this car? What would be the next level? Turbo, engine swap, suspension?

It all started when Covid hit us hard. May 2020. There was no restrictions yet for us to stay indoors but it was not recommended to go out. I guess being stuck at home with no more notion of time made me realized it was time to achieve a dream I had since a very long time. Buying a car I really wanted and doing all the mods needed to make it my dream car/race car. After a lot of research there was none in my area. So I had to consider looking into other provinces. I found one 6 hours drive from here.

1988 BMW E30 325i convertible. All stock. You can see on the pictures how it looked. These pics were taken the day after I got back. We hit the road during a time where no one was safe and government wanted us to stay home. 6 hours drive turned into a 3 days trip. Let me tell you getting this car has been one of the craziest stories in my life. It had to start somehow and nothing was going to stop me from buying it. I am glad you're here to see the evolution of what my BMW E30 1988 has become.
