Ever since picking up the E91, my time has been split between that and finishing up the E46. Finally made some progress this weekend and redid the entire headliner in black suede to replace the notorious sagging factory fabric. I also refinished all of the gray trim and handles in black, and everything came out better than expected. by @e46x911

Had to replace the old Cadillac Escalade with something a little more up-to-date — and a lot more reliable. 😅

Late night cruise in the E91. 🌙

With the E46 build on pause while I hunt down the right S54 donor, I’ve been putting some time into getting this wagon dialed in. Catching up on routine maintenance, replacing worn parts, and slowly bringing everything back to where it should be.

The goal is a clean, reliable daily for the wife to handle school drop-offs and kid duty but of course I can’t leave anything completely stock. 😂

Really enjoying this thing more than I expected. More E91 updates coming soon. 👀 by @e46x911

Found a local set of OEM E46 M3 powered seats for $375 for the pair 😱 Only thing missing is the heated function, but hey I’m in California, it’s not really needed.

Since I’m converting the entire interior from dove gray to black, along with a full OEM M3 body and S54 swap. I knew a set of black M3 seats would be the perfect finishing touch.

They were definitely rough when I picked them up (last 2 slides👀), but thankfully the leather was still salvageable. A little sweat equity went a long way.

All they needed was:
✔️ Leather cleaner & conditioner
✔️ Leather glue
✔️ Leather filler
✔️ A little sanding
✔️ Fresh black leather dye

I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. They’re not perfect, but for a DIY restoration and a total investment of $375, I’d call that a win. 🙌 by @e46x911

M3 Mirror Retrofit:
I’ve been putting this off for a while. The retrofit guides I found online made the process seem much more intimidating than it actually was, but once I got into it, it was surprisingly straightforward for the most part.

With the mirrors finally installed, the exterior M3 conversion is officially complete. After all the metal work, body panel swaps, welding, and countless hours of fabrication, it’s amazing how a relatively small detail can tie the entire car together. The silhouette finally looks the way I’d always envisioned it.

Now I seriously need to stop staring at it and get this thing into the paint booth already. 😆 by @e46x911

Back when the E46 had to rescue the LP640 because I barely drove the Lambo. 😆 Living in an underground garage with no outlet meant no trickle charger, so the BMW became the designated jump starter more than once. And also had to run to Autozone for a replacement battery because it was constantly draining.

Crazy how life changes. Before COVID, my advertising and marketing business was thriving, I had a lot more freedom, and no kids yet. Those were different times.

Through every chapter, though, this E46 has quietly stayed with me. Even when it sat neglected in the corner of the garage, I could never bring myself to let it go. Looking back now, I’m glad I didn’t. It’s funny how the cars you least expect end up becoming the ones that mean the most. ❤️ taken in Orange County, California by @e46x911

First time out of the garage.
It’s still rough around the edges, but seeing it in natural light has me more motivated than ever to finish the bodywork and get it painted. by @e46x911
