5-0 by E9. DAW audio. Got a few possible collabs coming up so today I'm working on bouncing some songs with/without certain tracks. I'm too lazy to record every section separately/pristinely so y'all get to hear this one-take. However, you're hearing the actual recorded audio from my DAW (had to sync it up to the original video). It's kinda funny I have to mention this since miming to studio quality produced tracks is the norm for online guitarists. But that ain't my bag. Anywho

Come check out my new song tomorrow at @thelexbar! I'll be opening for @space_4ce_music (it's their album release show!) and @gingerbeardman1975! Free show! Doors 8:30pm! Woo! 🤘🎸

In Here Nowhere started out as an exercise in recreating some of the timbres and melodies from Out There Somewhere (Part 2) by Orbital (my fav electronica group). It's still very much a work in progress but I'm thrilled with how it's taking shape!

Still not perfect but noticeably improved from my 1st vid playthrough! I've got Honor Thy Father memorized now! In the 1st vid, I was following the tabs. I also finally figured out how to get pinch harmonics out of this guitar (for the choruses). For some reason, it required a more drastic angle of attack with my thumb and pick than my Parker Fly. Also unlike the first vid, 100% of the guitar part is me here whereas before, I was playing to a midi file with the guitar included. Anywho, I've got a bassist who says he'll take a look at learning this! Woo!

Psychedelic Gnomes by E9. Performed @ghostlightbar on 5.30.2026 My final song of this show! PG is always a great song to end on and that night was no exception. Such a fun show and a good crowd!

5-0 by E9. Performed @ghostlightbar on 5.30.2026 My 2nd to last song of the night! This is one of my newest songs! I finally got my guitar's piezo saddles working this year and this song utilizes them very briefly. My pedalboard does the switching between piezos and magnetic pickups making it super fast n accurate.

Alien Thoughts (part 2 of 2) by E9. Performed @ghostlightbar on 5.30.2026 IG won't let me post the full 22min vid so here's the 2nd part! This vid contains the songs The Uncanny Valley and Tearing Down The Temple. TUV is in 7/4, a nod to both my prog influences and the incredible Shpongle. TDTT is my fav track off this album and at 9min long, it's still the longest song I've written. Of course, now that I'm playing Alien Thoughts as if it was 1 song, does this 22min behemoth count as my longest? 😁

Alien Thoughts (part 1 of 2) by E9. Performed @ghostlightbar on 5.30.2026 IG won't let me post the full 22min vid so here's the first part! This vid contains the songs Higher Dimensions and Make Believe. Both of these songs are nearly 100% improv, where I play on various themes of a few melodies over incredibly simple two chord vamps. These were some of the 1st songs I ever wrote and it shows. 😅 It sure was great having a longer set where these songs make more sense. 🤘

This is quite rough still BUT it's the first time I've been able to get all the way through this 10min song! Hakam @hakam.abusoud said he can play the entire Train of Thought album and we've already got As I Am covered so I figured, why not try another song off that album?! Honor Thy Father is trickier in some ways than As I Am and easier in others. As you can see, I've still got some woodshedding to do and then I can finish memorizing the full arrangement but hey, not too bad for only a few days of practice I'd say! I also feel like it's good to show folks that we all start off rough when learning something new; just keep plugging away at it (and SLOW IT DOWN). 🤘🎸

Hopin' by E9. Performed @ghostlightbar on 5.30.2026 Here's the 2nd song from my show this past Saturday! This is def a fav of mine. The Kermit vocal sample in the intro adds a bit of whimsy but I also just looove every line. "Dreams are how we figure out where we wanna go and Life is how we get there." Never stop hoping for a better tomorrow and remember, you're not alone. ❤️
