As many of you know, my dad died from lung/brain cancer this month. I initially made a post but needed to delete it for a few reasons. I have been in a sea of grief, awash in dilemmas (thanks HOTD) related to my dad’s death, and adjusting to life with a second dog. I loved my dad deeply. I miss him even more. The grief I feel is something indescribable, insurmountable, and an emptiness I feel I will never overcome. I loved my dad, he loved me, he loved being my dad, I loved being his daughter. He was a product of his time in many ways- meaning he was far from perfect- and could have benefited from some emotional work/therapy. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t one of my fave people. The amount of times I have wanted to call him (we spoke so often) is not quantifiable. Losing both my parents has been awful, but unfortunately a part of life. My grief is deep because I loved so deeply. I will miss my dad for the rest of my life. My dad was an artist, an avid reader, an animal lover, had the greenest thumb, and loved smoking weed. He was also deeply invested in his Native American heritage as well as his Irish pride. He kept a photo f myself and my sisters in his wallet every day, and he kept a framed photo of me on his bedside table, holding onto my photo in his final moments. The pride I feel in being his daughter is immense. The gratitude I feel in him choosing to be my dad has also never been lost on me. My dad loved to dance, was always the most charming man in the room, and was never without girlfriends. The last few years had been so rough on our entire family. I’m glad to know he was not in pain for long after his diagnosis and he can now be reunited with all things he loved on the other side. ❤️ Rest well Jason Morgan McShane. Your ride was wild. Sometimes, you go to the beach in your very goth one piece thx @forestinkclothing, get a ton of compliments from the girls, gays, and theys. Put shimmery sunscreen on (thx @morgsclark ), try to open dip (damn it) can’t get it open, get help from strangers for your tent, sit in your lil chair, and present 🍑 as the outfit- thanks to @joinladder and @jmethod . You’re welcome. Gotta get to the beach more before summer fades again. ❤️😘❤️ by @e_mcshane

Met the one, the only, the iconic, brilliant cool girl- @sammijefcoate who is not only eternally chic, but also exactly who she says she is. Kind, courteous, excited, inquisitive, caring, and of course- stylish beyond measure. I am so happy I got to experience the launch of her new rings “Hank” and “Dolly” in collab with the @thegreatfrogla it was a beautiful evening. Honorable mention to Anton- who is also a gem. Ryan from Madre Tequila gave me a lil gift and that was very very nice. Can’t wait to attend another fun event with great people. by @e_mcshane
