HAVE A WONDERFUL READ📝

Saw the post and read the comments section. Lots of people commenting on how much love they have for the industry left and right, everyone showing interest and well, what chance do I think I have? A newbie to the industry with nothing but her head😂

According to NIKE's "Just Do It" motto, not doing it and regretting it afterwards would be something I do not want to deal with and the " what ifs" spurred my determination to further present myself as a worthy candidate.

Weeks after, I got a rejection mail from another organization I had earlier applied to. Shaken but undeterred, I moved on. Same evening, I got @mandyuzoagba 's acceptance letter🙈🙈. Overjoyed is an understatement as I had applied with a 50/50% mind😂 which became a 💯. Classes are fun and interactive, the assignments helps each group members work together as one thereby fostering team building and cooperation and the check-in by her adds up to making the mentorship program a wonderful experience.

The reviews shows that not just one or two but more persons share the same point of view about the mentorship. Thank you, Super Man🙌🎉💖 @mandyuzoagba for impacting.

AI AND THE INFRINGEMENT OF IMAGE RIGHTS.

Being a part of the Amanda's mentorship programme @mandyuzoagba , my teammates and I took a deep dive into the infringement of privacy rights facilitated by the use of AI.

So let's work with this scenario; let's assume Desmond, a model who does ads for Flowers Ltd wakes up one morning to see an ad he featured in, tweaked by Star Ltd through the use of AI by altering his outfits while retaining his every move in that ad. Consequently, Desmond stands to lose his relationship with his manager who thinks Desmond got a gig behind him. The big QUESTION is, does he have any remedy?

The answer is YES.

Although there is no specific law on image rights in Nigeria, image rights are protected under Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution which provides that every person is guaranteed the right to privacy, which can extend to the use of a person's image. Image rights are also protected by various laws regulating copyright and trademark rights in Nigeria.

Several cases in the Nigerian sphere have shown that the unauthorised use of a picture or photograph of a person constitutes a breach of privacy as seen in Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) v Jumia Nigeria, also in Sabinus v UAC. A person whose image right has been infringed is open to the option of either seeking damages for such infringement, an injucstive relief or a public apology/ retraction.

As we navigate our various activities in our different career paths, it is important to bear in mind that we ought to respect people's right to their images and likeness, as they are not just mere privileges, they are fundamentally entitled to it.

E.N.I.O.B.A.N.K.E 😍😍❤️

This lady and I got talking because we both had to plan the bridesmaids duties together for everyone, and we clicked like we’ve known each other forever😍😂

How she even got the confidence that I will make her dress well, I still don’t know, because just like Adaugo, I had never met her physically, I didn’t take her measurements, and we never had fitting sessions.
But when she wore her dress for the first time, even I was amazed at how fitted it ended up on her, oh myy, it was a beautiful thing to behold😍
